:D Tammy will be playing here. :D

Today I met her in Thailand Open 2003 at Muang Thong Thani Arena. She told me that she has a special acceptance from the tournament and she will be in the main draw.

She said she would more prefer playing the main draw of Japan Open than qualify of Moscow. Tammy will be leaving for Japan on Friday 26.

 C'mon Tammy, do your best as usual in Japan Open.

How about Kristina Brandi, she should be in the Main Draw with her Top 100 Ranking.

Another WC went to Maika Ozaki.
She's 18... she'll be good.

Is Amy getting a WC perhaps ? She´s not in the US challengers this week and originally planned to play Filderstadt qualifying - that would prevent her from going to Japan

Is Ryoko Fuda not getting a WC, to the qualies perhaps?

Ai is a stong favourite here, but if somebody beat her, then the rest of the field is wide open.

Maika Ozaki is certainly going to be a very good player in the future, but she doesn't deserve a MD WC yet. I think the organisers were pressured to give her one fearing that she may miss qualies because of the Asian Champs...

It seems Yuka Yoshida got robbed of a WC. She's not only the next highest ranked player after Morigami, but she's the only other player in the Top 200, and got to the QF last year. Really unfair if she didn't get one. :(

Speaking of qualifying WCs, I think Ryoko Fuda & Yurika Sema will get one if they can't make it in directly. :)

*sigh* I was really happy to see Shinobu with the no.3 seeding. Now poor Martina Sucha and probably Sarah Taylor or others who were initially at the bottom of the main draw will be relegated to Qualifying for the tournament

Anyway, I just realised that all four Japanese players are ranked higher than Yoon Jeong-Cho

So the ranking will be;
1. Ai Sugiyama (12)
2. Tamarine Tanasugarn (30)
3. Shinobu Asagoe (38)
4. Saori Obata (55)
5. Akiko Morigami (63)
6. Yoon Jeong-Cho (68)
7. Angelique Widjaja (78)

Woohoo! Go Japanese tennis! And I hope Mi Ra-Jeon breaks through to the top 100 :bounce:

And I hope to see a Ai vs Shinobu finals and for the SF to be Ai vs Saori and Shinobu vs Akiko :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

If Ai doesn't win here :o

Ai better win, especially since this year's draw is so weak.

And if I were Ai and didn't at least make the Finals, I'd be embarassed too :o

If you are in the main draw commitments, you cannot be bumped out at any point thereafter.
