Eggy, I thought Mob-Flashing was the second favorite sport in the UK. See: Golf tournaments, Tennis Tournaments, etc.
But why don't you ever see Mob-Flashers at football games? :D :D :D

Original idea and a great thing the first time it was done. But that's about it.

it's plain stupid :o I saw Flash mobs in the States on tv.. there was one in Brussels here, and several in Amsterdam. Don't see the point of it.

The next step could be 'Antimob'. I read this in the Guardian recently:

"The concept is the opposite of the Mob Project. In Antimob, we all agree not to be in a certain location for a brief period of time. If all humanity participates, the appearance of a place like Grand Central Station or the Motor Vehicle Bureau in Chicago will be stunning.
Antimob requires little of it's participants, so that billions of people, without even knowing of the non-event, will be participating in the first example of non-performance art".
[Guardian On-line 07.08.03.]

That's all very well, but if everyone agrees not to be somewhere to create a stunning appearance, who's going to see it? I suppose we'd all have to watch on cctv or webcams.
