Three players in the world's top 20 will be playing in the 10th years of Wismilak International in Bali, Indonesia right after USO...But Sveta will not compete here as defending champion!

This tier III tourney offers a TPM of USD 225,000 will be held at Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua tennis complex. Chanda Rubin is going to lead the pack of all the players followed by Conchita Martinez and Elena Dementieva. Anna K, is not in the MD but she is one of the three candidates who are likely to get WCs. Indonesian Wynne Prakusya is strong possible recipient for WC as well.

With such low rank Angie has at this point, she is number 20 out of 21 players who got entry into MD... :D

MD of Wismilak Open will have 30 players with 2 players would get bye. In the total of 21 players - these are direct entries based on WTA ranking, then 3 WCs, 4 from qualifying round and 2 more from direct acceptance - winners of Oyster Bay, NY and Cuneo, Italy!

Some of those other 21 players are: Emilie Loit, Tina Pisnik, Yoon Jeong Cho, Cara Black, Ashley Harkleroad, Dinara Safina & Mary Pierce. In Q round, there are Saori Obata, Nicole Pratt and Barbara Rittner to name a few. The dead line was yesterday and so far no one has withdrawn and even the committee still got late entries!!!

Can't wait till the actual day comes! :wavey:

she doesn't have to defend it now,
as there has been a change in date

Sveta of course will be in finals action at the weekend in Flushing Meadows ;)

but it's still couple of months away,
but her doubles with Martina seem to
be going pretty well for her,
plus she hasnt played anything below Tier II
after Australian Open, except one, Doha,
that's right, the tournament featuring
an all Russian final and an all Russian SF,
so no need to explain why she is there,
last yr she only played one Tier II,
but one cant be too overly ambitious though,
it wont take her long to realize how hard
she'll be hitting if she is overly confident,
go look at Myriam, she is playing Sopot now,
that just goes to see how long her confidence
level is...hopefully she'll start to build up from there
anyways, i'm hoping to see her in the 2nd week
just like TBE said, so good luck.....:D
