What do you reckon, maybe someone has a closer pic of it! Poor Anna winning that, hehe

Hehe, I bet Anna Smashnova proudly displays this on her mantlepiece at home, not!!
I think the Canberra tournment needs to find a more attractive trophy!
Jan 29th, 2002, 12:23 PM
It looks like something straight from the '60's
Jan 29th, 2002, 12:28 PM
looks like a torch to me :o
Jan 29th, 2002, 12:32 PM
Nice...if you like something completely warped and ugly ;)
Some of these tournies really need to reconsider the trophies they award...afterall they are ment to be prizes aren't they? ;)
Jan 29th, 2002, 12:35 PM
It's supposed to have a 'tribal' or 'primative' aspect to it, a shrunken head would have sufficed for me.
Jan 29th, 2002, 01:10 PM
The color... :(
Jan 29th, 2002, 01:12 PM
Lol!! It really does
Jan 29th, 2002, 01:14 PM
good art is always ugly:p
Jan 29th, 2002, 06:48 PM
maybe the runner-up got something better? http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/kao/otn/pflowerhat1.gif

Don't they usually give the champions a smaller replica of the trophy? Or is that only at Grand Slams? Cause then Anna could have a smaller piece of poo on her mantlepiece rather than a big one. ;)
Jan 29th, 2002, 11:48 PM
 this one looks really strange
Jan 30th, 2002, 12:01 AM
What the hell??
Whose stupid idea was that??? Whoever thought that ugly sh!t up, should be forced to EAT IT!! :p
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:11 AM
A conversation about this trophy came up awhile back and I remember somebody suggested that the reason the tournament gave out such an ugly trophy is because the player winning it wouldn't want such a nasty thing and would not wanna take it home with them... therefore, saving the tournament some money! lol!!!
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:15 AM
LOL! very very very funny......
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:20 AM
To me it looks like it had fallen Air Plane toilet at 35,000 feet.
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:28 AM
What the heck do you call that thing?
I guess it could be used to deter burglars. Either throw it at them or leave it out in plain site and they'll be standing there scratching their heads trying to figure out what it is, thus giving you time to call the cops. However probably the cops and the burglar would engage in a discussion about what that thing is.
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:36 AM
atleast its 'unique' looking...
Jan 30th, 2002, 05:52 AM
Gross! I guess they don't have to worry about having to make a miniature for the player to take home.
It looks like something my dog leaves on the lawn in the morning.
Jan 30th, 2002, 08:23 AM
Lets face it, the trophy has either intentionally or unintentionally accomplished it's objectives of being both 'noteworthy' and an 'object', after all, this is the second thread devoted to the subject and can anyone remember ANY discussion about ANY trophy whatsoever...
Well done !!!! Perhaps the next 'trophy' will consist of a plate of spaghetti or maybe a plastic food display that you find at some of the better Japanese restaurants.
Jan 30th, 2002, 09:15 AM
LMAO!!! Well at least the tournament directors don't have to worry about anyone kissing that trophy...and now we all know why all the big names skip that tourney, they don't want to win it!
Jan 30th, 2002, 10:53 AM
They propably cant afford a better one ;)
Anyway, it looks like the monstrosity I made in Year 7 ceramics class...and that went str8 to the bin.
Jan 30th, 2002, 11:31 AM
Yes SM, it's one of a kind.
LOL @ Mark
Jan 30th, 2002, 02:52 PM
Deng, that is the most horrific trophy I have ever seen:o I know that was a Tier 1V that she won, but deng no trophy should look like that. I'm guessing the tournament was on a budget is a major understatement.
