Jan 27th, 2002, 10:44 PM
If she wants to win a Grand Slam title she seems to need to lose in the second round of the event she plays before!

Winner Australian Open 2001
Previous event: Sydney - lost 2R

Winner French Open 2001
Previous event: Rome - lost 2R

Winner Australian Open 2002
Previous event: Sydney - lost 2R

That is crazy! So I guess I'll be rooting for Jen to lose in these tourneys before a slam

Also another fact... Jennifer is 3-0 in grand slam finals... And also she has taken those wins by hitting a winner on match point.

2001 Australian Open Winner on Backhand Return
2001 French Open Winner on inside out Forehand
2002 Australian Open Winner on Forehand Return

I hope Jen does TERRIBLE in Rome, Eastbourne, and New Haven this year. ;)

That's Right! Jennifer Capriati Is Un-Beaten In Grand Slam Finals! Wow! Go Get Them Jennifer!

Jan 28th, 2002, 07:05 AM
You know, I think when Jen gets to a Grand Slam final she clicks into another gear. She simply refuses to lose. 3-0 is some kind of record in Grand Slams, especially your FIRST THREE Slam finals ever. Wow. Go Jen in 2002!!!

One more thing, Jenn had won 4 titles since 2001 and in each occasion SHE BEAT MARTINA HINGIS!;) Does this mean that she should follow the same schedule as Martina?;)

Jan 28th, 2002, 02:41 PM
If you include Junior Slams as well she is 5-0 in Grand Slam finals!!! :)

Jan 28th, 2002, 02:42 PM
And if you include junior doubles she is 7-0 in Slam finals!?!

Another fact is that Capriati has to beat Martina Hingis before winning a slam/title!!

Jan 28th, 2002, 04:09 PM
The first time I'll root for Capriati will be in Rome, Eastbourne and New Haven!!!

Go Girl!!! Win those titles!!! Go Jennifer! ;)

No no... Martina should draw Capriati more...

Unless Venus draws Capriati off course... and that'll be 100 quality points. ;) :p
