I though I'd save us all some time. Rather than having 75 arguementative threads about whose better, I'd figure I'd just sum up the arguements, and then we can forget about it till June.

Jennifer won the last GS in incredible fashion. She's the best in the world.
Venus won 2 of the last three GS titles. She's the best in the world.
Jennifer won 3 of the last five GS titles. She's the best in the world.
Venus won 4 out of the last seven GS titles. She's the best in the world.

Ancillary arguements:

Venus wins half the tournaments she enters, no one else even comes close.
Jenn has been ranked #1 twice now, Venus never has.
Venus leads career head-to-head 4-0.
Jenn IS #1.

Now, this arguement won't settled until either they play again and one blows the other out (injury-free) or someone NOT Jenn wins RG.

I'm not looking to settle anything with this thread. It isn't an arguement that can be settled now. Venus may be the second coming of BJK. The best in the world when healthy, yet seemingly always injured. Who knows?

And if Kim Clijsters wins the next 3 GS titles ....

I don't get it, "And if Kim Clijsters wins the next 3 GS titles ...." what happens then ? :p

Surely then, Martina Hingis will be the best in the world...

No no no... If Kim wins the next three, then it's Henin who'll be the best in the world! :p :p :p

Monica has won 9 of the last 48 Slams, more than anyone else on tour during that time. She's also beaten Venus the last time they played and Jennifer the last 2 times.
