Serena vs. Lena Dementieva (4th round predictions)

Anybody looking forward to that? Lena seems to be in good shape. How has she been playing? She has been in some sort of a slump just before a short time ago. Anyhow, predictions?

I would love to finally see Elena play Serena. But I'm not sure Elena will make the fourth round. But I am sure Serena will be there.

Yeah, but she seems to be getting in great shape, plus her opponents, well, at least on paper, don't seem awfully tough. She's got Arantxa Parra (I don't know about her, somebody?) and then the winner of Sucha vs. Kapros... I have no idea though about their current shape / grass court tennis...

Like Clijsters, she has not been tested, having an easier draw than Kim(two qualifiers and a lucky loser) and that cannot help her playing the defending champion who looks to be getting better with each round. While I don't expect a blowout, I expect the score to be someting like 6-3, 6-2 or 6-2, 6-2 Serena.

Sorry but other prospects to beat the Williams sisters can be accused of lacking firepower (Callens) or being slow (Petrova) but Dementieva is extremely fast and has a bigger forehand than both Williams sisters combined, plus an improving down-the-line backhand. Either way if Dementieva can handle Serena's serve than I expect her to be dictating the points off the ground. If Dementieva loses it will be because of her errors or Serena's serve.
