Ok- here's what happened. Saw the entire first
set, and the last two games of the second. They
cut off for a bit of Elena D and the Serena match.
Tammy's backhand was just not up to par today.
She couldn't do much volley's either because
Akiko was doing her Monica Seles two handed
backhand on both wings thing, and doing pretty
good on the returns.
Oh- well. It's just a bummer that they had to play
Last time I checked- Japan's is still part of Asia. I wonder
why they kept on saying that Tammy is Asia's number
1 player? They kept on referring to Japan as if it's
not part of Asia? Weird a?
"those Japanese players" "players from Japan"
"those Japanese girls".

I was a bit disappointed not to be able to watch Jelena vs. Baltacha but Tammy vs. Akiko was fine with me.
I don't think Tammy played well at all and was inconsistent. Akiko played well and deserved to win. I was puzzled as well when they kept on saying Tammy's the Asian #1. I was like, "What the hell is Ai then?"
