after a disappointing grass-season start, with a more than disappointing defeat, I hope that this was just a bada day and let's hope that things go much better for Magüi in Wimbledon, third Grand Slam of the year. She will be seeded (with Seles' withdrawal she should be seed number 24) and please, no British WC in the first round! ;)
¡¡¡VAMOS MAGÜI!!! :):):)

Good Luck Magui :D :D Lets hope you can do as well as in 2000 ;) And also last years 1st round exit  means no points to defend!
Vamos Magui! :D
Jun 16th, 2003, 07:30 PM
Magüi will be 24th-seeded. Hoping for a nice draw tomorrow.
Anyone going to Wimbledon?
Jun 19th, 2003, 12:09 PM
She don't get a nice draw  Vivi first rd.
Vamos Magüi, good luck! :)
Jun 19th, 2003, 12:41 PM
I don't like the draw, but I hope that Magüi can win that first round. Magüi always wants to do well there, so she must win.
Magüi and Boogie will play Asagoe/Miyagi.
Jun 19th, 2003, 01:22 PM
I like her draw though!
Jun 22nd, 2003, 05:28 PM
Go Magüi in both Singles and Doubles!! :)
If you have to play Tina in the second round, I dunno who to cheer for ;)
Jun 23rd, 2003, 02:13 AM
Good luck tomorrow Magui !
Jun 23rd, 2003, 07:17 AM
Magüi plays fourth match on court 14, with two men's matches there she should play late, so maybe I can follow the end of her match (or even the whole match, let's see).
I think it won't be an easy match, but she must win if she plays as she can.
Jun 23rd, 2003, 09:29 AM
Good luck Magüi!!!! :bounce: :bounce:
Jun 23rd, 2003, 11:23 AM
It's a shame, I like Ruano too but she's a better chance and plus, Vivi will win doubles :bounce:
Jun 23rd, 2003, 08:37 PM
After her success reaching the QF in 2000. Magüi had lost two first rounds in a row, so it's great to see her winning again a match in Wimbledon. CONGRATS!. Now she'll face Maja Matevzic, a tough lefty rival, but let's hope that she can win (and take revenge for Tina ;))
Jun 23rd, 2003, 09:13 PM
Good luck Magui :D :D You can do it :D
Jun 23rd, 2003, 09:34 PM
Wow Lefties duel in second round!
Jun 24th, 2003, 08:11 PM
So Magüi will play tomorrow from 12 pm (local time) on court 5.
Magüi and Maja have played each other once:
Qual 2 Filderst. Oct 13 2002 M Matevzic - M Serna 3-6 6-3 6-2
But I hope that Magüi can win this time, although I think it will be a tough match (not 'easy' players in Magüi's draw, all top 50)
Jun 24th, 2003, 10:59 PM
Good Luck Magui, I know you can do it! It won't be shown on the Beeb, so I'll have to come on the internet to follow the scores ;)
I only have 2 "true" favourites left in the women's draw and I would like it if they will go much further! ;)
VAMOS MAGUI :bounce:
Jun 25th, 2003, 11:35 AM
Suerte Magüi!!!! :bounce:
Jun 25th, 2003, 02:25 PM
Magüi vs Maja 4-4 final set.
Vamos Magüi, just 2 more games!! (rain has stopped)
Jun 25th, 2003, 02:58 PM
bloody rain! I don't know if the score would have been the same, but Magüi doesn't like rain. Pfff, I thought Magüi would win this after leading 3-1 and serve in the third set...
Better luck in doubles!
Jun 25th, 2003, 03:49 PM
Too bad Magüi lost.....well she must now concentrate on hardcourt season and USO
Jun 25th, 2003, 04:33 PM
Good luck in doubles and Palermo!!!
Jun 26th, 2003, 06:53 AM
One of the rivals of Magüi and Boogie today is the marathon woman ;)
Jun 26th, 2003, 06:24 PM
Magüi and Boogie were losing by 5-7 0-1 and had to withdraw due to Magüi's illness...
Jun 27th, 2003, 11:15 AM
Caz said that Magui was injured during the singles match, and was crying when she had to retire from the singles match  Also, at 4-4 (in the final set of singles) Magui played a winner, and moments before it bounced the stupid umpire suspended play and Magui wasn't awarded the point :fiery: :fiery:
