I know it's a little early (Eastborne hasn't even started yet), but this picture of our lovely from 2002 at The Championships has got me excited to see all the great photos to come.

Here's a place to put them when they come!

Homer, that is completely uncalled for. Please show some respect to Daniela and her fans because so far, none of your posts have. If you haven't got anything constructive or supportive to say, then I'd rather you not say anything at all. I don't think you've quite grasped that this is a messageboard for fans of Daniela's, if you want to take cheap shots at everyone, fine, but not on this board. Your contributions to this board so far have not exactly endeared you to us, please try and join in the fun and show some support before we begin to wonder why you are here.

Well…

First, I’m so sorry your majesty and magnificence GrahamD ( D like Deus I suppose)
I’m proud the wonderful man you are, was writing to the pitiful boy I am.

Sure I like her more than…, more than…, more than the life, but I don’t need to scream it everywhere I go.
And it’s not a reason to ignore what’s happening all across the world. It’s why when I saw in live the sudden & unexplainable d...h of this football player ( I liked), the emotion was too strong, and I was unable to keep the silence on.

I’ve missed respect to her and to her fans because my posts weren’t constructive enough ?
It’s not a sufficient reason for… I’m sorry, but when I write on this forum, I write what I’m feeling and what I’m thinking. I don’t take the time to wonder if my post is good or bad.
Unlike certains persons which write that other people WANNA READ, and not that they are REALLY THINKING. IT is a LACK of RESPECT. ( and it’s the truth too)
Some enormous fans have mysteriously & suddenly disappeared… Disturbing…
What a pity don’t you think ?

Example
Somebody said : « I hate AshH »
I asked him « why ?»
No answer. IT is a big lack of respect. How is it possible to hate somebody you don’t know, without any reasons ? Because she’s not as tall as my favourite player ? It’s not her fault boy. ( Mousee)

Actually, maybe it’s for you , MasterGrahamD, I’m so sorry.
I SINCERELY wish you joy and happiness, I think you really need it.
I wasn’t criticizing you.

I regret the need to post the cut & paste below in Dani's forum. But Graham started a GM thread angrily accusing all those who have said of late that she appears to have an eating disorder (which Sears essentially @ last admitted in that BBC article) of wanting to "push her over the edge". Well, I reacted in words appropriate for GM strongly disagreeing with Graham's premise that "silence is the best medicine". So. Mr. Hypersensitive negative reps me for that. Now I've never trolled for points, and given out only green dots myself, so I won't engage in some silly tit for tat red dot contest with him. But I WILL tell Graham's fellow Dani loyalists that her wellwishers may indeed differ in good faith about whether the truth (shown in the marked difference between the '02 and '03 pics) is best ignored; or brought up to pierce the wall of denial that MANY posters feel hinders Dani's recovery.

IMO, your comments are fine though sometimes a little insensitive and even more times more critical of how the fans here show their affection for Hantuchova and not the topic of the thread itself. Just that do note that people react to different things in many different ways. Some here are quite emotional, there is nothing wrong with that. Just dont try to criticize them for showing such in their posts. Indeed the world has more problems than just Ms Hantuchova's loss... but please, this is a fan site, it is place PRECISELY for the discussion of topics relating to Daniela Hantuchova. Wouldn't you find it weird if we started talking about Foreign Debt in this forum? We can you know, just not here. Its not that the people here are ignorant of the world... its just because this is a site to discuss Daniela Hantuchova.

homer, sorry, you kinda lost me with your english. anyway, help me get thru this okay? you think the CPers are overreacting and that we shouldn't feel bad about dani's loss? huh? the hell kinda fan group we are? as fans, i don't think we could just take her loss lightly. we (not including you) are her fans and we care what happens to her! .....are you still following me? if we discuss here so formally then we're no different from those so-called experts who have been yapping about Daniela's troubled career. correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think that's what fans should do. fans are to support the player not bring her down. in case you misread, this is The Cocktail Party. and in case you don't know, The Cocktail Party is Daniela Hantuchova's forum. we can talk about her all we want as long as we are constuctive.

if your problem is how emotional we get here, i'm sorry to say but people react on things differently. you probably don't feel what we (still not including you) fans feel. it's called emotions. you need to get out more often and try to observe the real world coz in the real world when you say something like "don't you think you're overreacting", you'd probably get creamed! (which is something i wouldn't really mind...so go....now....hurry!) it makes me think, when you watch dani's matches do you ever cheer? coz if not, must be really fun seeing you! must be really really exciting :D or maybe you feel that sensation inside you that makes you want to jump or shout. it's called excitement! do you know what that means or are you still stuck with D in your dictionary? it's not new. it's normal (at least for us). don't suppress it! express it! if you got a problem with us then find another board where you can lurk. don't mind saying goodbye. we won't mind. and bring your friend peterson what'shisface with you. but i'm telling you most Daniela forums are boring. believe me. i've seen them. if you want a good group that supports Daniela Hantuchova i'm sorry pal but this is the best there is!

thanks for the pics decemberlove :wavey: they are really great :)

And here's what I have to say concerning the whole discussion:

First of all, I totally agree with what tarsius said. Of course there are things that are much important and sad than tennis. But this is a tennis-board. I come here in my leisure to distract me a little bit, or in other words to have fun. Part of the fun is that I get a little emotional sometimes, and not everything I post then should be taken completely literally. Homer, I know what happened to the cameroon soccer player, and I really feel sorry for that. It's really a tragedy!

About the eating-disorder topic once again (although I'm fed up with it... ) : I don't know what Graham said in the GM because I don't visit it very often. Not only because of the neverending talks about Daniela's eating habits but in particular because it often gets very hostile there. IMO some of the most frequent posters only go there because they want to provoke people. And most of the stuff just isn't my sense of humour - ranting against others is not very creative. But that's just my impression, so I just avoid going there :) Now about Daniela: I never said that I know whether she has an eating-disorder or not. However, I personally believe that it is more a mental problem. Most important of all, I don't know anything for sure. And I can't change it either, whether I deny it or not (besides nobody ever denied here that she obviously is not completely alright at the moment).
But there's one thing I really disapprove of, and that is:
1) The gossip from the tabloids, with the only intention to to make money on the backs of others. I know that is nothing new, it happens every day but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I personally think it reflects in a way the grievances of our society - but this doesn't belong here...
2) Cheap jokes directed against (famous) persons, who are going through a difficult phase. Like nearly everyone does sometimes. It's in a way the same phenomena like the media, just on a smaller scale.

That's all :wavey:

sry pinky, I know it's very long... :p

Hey chap and marq!

All I can tell you about the mixed doubles match was that Dani and Kevin led 3-0, then 3-2, 4-2, 4-3, 5-3 and were serving for the set. It got as far as 15-0 and the scoreboard stopped. After about 15 minutes I checked the draws on the official website and it showed that either Arnold or Tarabini had retired injured.

Of course, the death of Marc Vivien-Foe is very sad, but this is not the place to discuss it. I'm sorry for Homer that one of his favourite footballers has died and commiserations, but I doubt many French or Cameroon football messageboards are debating about Daniela's performance at Wimbledon, just as few on here would have even heard of MVF. He played here for West Ham and Manchester City as a matter of interest. There is a time and a place for everything, and this is not it.

So while I have some sympathy, you don't need me to remind you that this place is for tennis, Daniela and her fans, not Cameroon footballers or religion.

mousee, i'm sorry. i know my words were a little too harsh. i'm also sorry for making fun of his english. i should've stuck to what we were arguing about instead of questioning his comprehension of the english language. i should've gone straight to the point. i'm sorry if my post offended you being someone who also struggles with the language. i wasn't thinking. i was so caught up with making fun of the guy that i forgot about other people who find difficulty with english. and if i sounded like i hate new posters coming in here, i'm sorry too. but that's not what i meant. i was asking him to go because he was starting a fight with almost everyone. so really, i'm so sorry. if it would make you feel any better, i only know one language as compared to you who could speak probably 2 or more. i've been thought to speak mandarin and spanish since i was a kid but i still don't get it. make fun of me i won't mind.

and to homer, what made you think that i'm religious? just because i know a lot about the bible doesn't mean i'm religious. you have no right to JUDGE me with your very little proof.
