Go Sveta!!! :) Her QF match will be a test, but I think she'll get thru...

Sveta totally annihilated that young Aussie :o and then not long after was against another youngster, Golovin, where she was pushed quite hard in the second set! I saw her some of the match against the Aussie but missed the Golovin match. Saw a bit of Sharapova-Casanova...that is a great win for Maria!

So I take it Bartoli lost? She was in trouble from the get go :(
Also Gisella :(

Elke should beat Sharapova, but how big are her chances against Svetlana?

Per, what makes you think Elke should beat Maria? I've seen a couple of photos of Elke, and she is much bigger and stronger than Maria. But Maria just whipped 2 very powerful girls yesterday. I know Elke has not fully concentrated on the juniors. But Maria has a much higher ranking than Elke. I would think Maria would be the slight favorite. But you could convince me otherwise.

P.S. - Per, I don't think Elke would look past Sharapova to Kuznetsova. Do you?

Maria is the favourite against Elke but Elke is playing well so it could be a good match.
