STANFORD - Anna Kournikova will join the top two and four of the top seven players in the WTA rankings at the Bank of the West Classic July 21-27 at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Joining Kournikova among the list of early commitments are world No. 1 Serena Williams, who is making her debut at the Classic, 2001 champion and No. 2 Kim Clijsters, 1998 and 1999 champion and No. 6 Lindsay Davenport, and No. 7 Jennifer Capriati.

Kournikova reached the singles semifinals in her last two appearances in 2000 and 2002 at the Bank of the West, and reached the doubles semifinals last year.

Good Luck Anna! :bounce:

Anna :) I hope she has a good draw, because she has lots of points to defend there.

I just hope that all of her injuries are behind her already. If not now, at least by then.

Is she still going to play Eastborne?

Hope she does well, she always seems to do well at this tourney.

just something to think about, every year she's played, she's wound up losing to Venus, but Venus won't be there this year. :)

However, Serena will be. :( ;)

Not suprising, she would have to be off her trolley if she was not to play here after how she did last year.

Yes, but Venus has the terrific plan this year to not defend any of her championships.

I'd love her to cause an upset or two and show people she's back!
