If Clijsters & Verkerk win, will local papers work the "Dutch-speaking" angle?

I'm just asking because some Canadian papers mention Daniel Nestor's every move even if he doesn't take the Doubles title. :o

Will certain papers from parts of Belgium and the Netherlands make the correlation that the Men's and Women's champions are Dutch speakers (if it happens)?

I don't think so. Flanders and Wallonia are a lot closer than is often thought of. BTW, the Dutch are not interested in the Belgian success now that they have their own finalist.
One journalist said it literally: "Now that Verkerk is in the final, I don't want to know anything about the ladies' final."

Yeah, the journalist daid: there's nothing in my newspaper about the Belgian succes!
