View Full Version : Wimbledon Wildcard Playoff Draws!

Jun 3rd, 2003, 08:22 PM
:wavey: Taken from ceefax! For the mens there were 4 matches to be played, and for the womens just 2 matches listed. Both will be played on the 5th June.

Julie Pullin vs. Anna Hawkins
Sarah Borwell vs. Hannah Collin

This must mean that Elena, Anne, Lucie & Jane have received the automatic wildcards. :) :)

May the best player receive the wildcard :bounce: :worship: And I do hope it's not Julie, because she would benefit hugely from coming through qualies instead of losing straight away in the main draw! (So it's not because I don't like her)

I think it'll be between Sarah & Julie! :D Because Hannah is just coming back from injury so I give Sarah the edge! ;)

Ceefax have changed it! Firstly it said Helen Crook but it now says Anna Hawkins. So I've changed the first post ;)

I can't understand why they have put Anna in over Amanda, Helen & even Emily  I hope that she can justify her place in the play-off by beating Julie ;)

I think the LTA think a lot of Anna, as she was also chosen for that European team championships last year. I'm personally glad to see at least one under-20 player in the draw.

go Anna Hawkins ;)
go girl go :) :)

Hannah too :)

Anna had to be given a place, as one play-off spot was reserved for the under-18 champion.

Unfortunately Julie is gonna wipe the floor with every girl here. If Hannah is fully fit, she'll beat Sarah on grass.

would have been interesting to see Anna Vs Hannah they always seem like good matches scorewise.I hope the winner of Hannah Vs Sarah takes the WC.

When is the final played?
