Hi there,
It was the most exciting day since the beginning of the week in the stadium. A lots of top players arrived. Bu i must begin by my disappointment after Rita's defeat today  I didn't see all match as i was on report on Monica's practice' session, but saw the last set. Rita didn't play bad, just that Birnerova is full of confidence :o . The most difficult was after the match, i was talking with Micki (Rita's coach), he told me it wasn't aa bad match too, but just difficult to lose often to the last round of Qualies. When Rita joined us, i couldn't stay. I just said "I'm sorry", and left before she'd speak, because i saw in her eyes that she was near to cry. She surely cried a lots on the
locker room  Well, i'm gonna see her tomorrow to say goodbye, pfff.
But i'll follow with top players. I've first met Jenny Capriati ( took pics) after her practice and gave her opponent' name. I was impressed by her level during the practice. She's in a very good form i think. I met too Lindsay ( took pic again) and asked her about her hamstring. Well, she answered that it was pretty good, no problems right now. Seems happy to see that someone cares about this injury ;) . She practiced, and seems in a good shape. Cool to see Lindsay afetr so much time without her.
And then, who saw i? Monica. I was so happy, she was at the Welcome's player. She then came out and i talked a little bit with her (glad to see she recognized me). I gave her our pic from last year and did an another one :) . Well, of course we talked about her foot, and she explained me that the laser treatments helps her a lot, that was much better. I was pretty conviced by her explanations, and then, i went to watch her practice on Court 1, from 4PM to 6PM. But unfortunately, she didn't feel so good on court. She stopped after one hour of a practice in which she hit the ball cleanly, but i noticed her sparring partner didn't hit balls which you have to run to. I heard a little bit of her conversation with the man, and she said she'd try again tomorrow, probably on the afternoon. I talked to her after she left the court, asked her if she had pain again, and she answered me that yes, a little bit pain is still in here. She said at the Eurosport's little interview that she'd try to do the best as possible to be rerady to play. Now, i must conclude that she's surely feeling better, because she wouldn't have gone in Paris, but doesn't want to take risks afetr an eventual alert. But on the other hand, i think she's trying to positive the situation and forget the pain as most as she can. Tomorrow, i'll know if she's really competing. ut the laser tratments seem to walk, so why not, she seemed better.
Momo practiced two times, there a lots of agitation around her.
I saw too Dinara, and talked with her mother, cause i know well the Safin's family. She took me some pictures from the Davis Cup (GFrance/Russia). I'll be on the Safin's living room, wow  Dinara practiced with Jenny. I watched Stevenson's practice a little, and she only did ... serves! What a great maneer to prepare a clay events LOL.
Kim Clijsters was having fun on court 2, trying to do a lots of drop shots. Conchita arrived too, but didn't see her practice, like Eleni. I know Dokic is already here but didn't have time to see her unfortunately. I saw too Irvin, Frazier, Morariu,Golovin in here. No news about Daniela and Williams' sisters. Surely will see hers tomorrow.
That's what i can remember right now about women.
About men's side, i saw my fiend Canas with Salerni, was so happy to see him. He's staying during a week. Hewitt practiced a little, and incredible, signed some autographs   ;) . Watched athe end of the day Alex C and Carlos M practiced on court 1, was happy to see them too since Monte Carlo. Took pics with them on court, as well with Costa more earlier on the day on the Central. Juanki will practice tomorrow! Ancic is in here too ( Hi Isa and Vio :wavey: :wavey: ). Tommy robredo (great to saw him). Federe and Coria practiced a few times as well.
Know that you're not particularly interested by men, so i'll stop, i'm a bit tired, have to wake up early tomorrow!
Stay tuned for more :)
