I want Kim to win, regardless for the number of sets. But Two sets would do it for me :).

After the match Heinz Günthardt asked Kim if she and Jenn would still practise together like they had done all week. Kim said that she and Jenn had already decided that if they would both win their quarterfinal, they would practise together tomorrow morning. Asked if that wouldn't influence the match she said that during a match they are opponents but outside they are good friends again.

Well, I see that in addition to all others, math is not your best subject, but let's hope they give it 116%, so that you don't look like any more of an idiot.

Er, you are no longer wrong since you corrected yourself. In your previous post, you thought 56+60=100. LOL.

60 + 56 (see ya original post) = 116 or is it 100 ? ;)

oh IC, it was supposed to be 46 not 56, my match is fine, not to brag, but i got an A in College Trig, when i was a Junior, so there is nothing wrong with my match, maybe my key strokes? LOL..

Diya
May 9th, 2003, 07:35 PM
60 + 46 = 106 again not 100 and yeah its math not match ;)

Jen has the better H2H, but on recent form, Kim looks like the favourite.

And Jen becomes the underdog, which is just how I like it! :)

This means that Jen will step it up when she needs to. Do not be surprised if Jen clinches this in straight sets.

Good luck Jen :)

LOL, how many times are you going to be wrong before you actually get it right?! Hahahaha!

for the record, your matchmetician- 46+60 still does not equal 100.

Actually, I know what your problem is - your problem is between the chair and the keyboard.

Has Kim ever beaten Cappy?

I think the Capster will win in 3.

I think all of us know that Jenn plays best against a good player when she has to dig herself out of a nasty hole. I think that is why she cratered against Serena, taking the first set threw her off! Anyway, so we know Kim will take the first set. I think like the phoenix that she is, Jenn wins in three sets, after being down a couple of breaks in the second and/or third set.

The phoenix has to rise again sometime.

Kim has never beaten Jennifer before in 3 matches I think it is.

I think Jen will win in 2 :)

Not that I particularly care, but my vote goes for Capriati in two sets.

Kimmie will win this one! Shes just playing the best tennis of her life right now. However, JenCAp will make her work hard for it. Jen can play well with anybody..even the top 5 but the real question is her consistency and her serve (i'm sure this is no longer new to everyone!) THe match will be in 3 sets with the score of 6-4 for Kim.

Considering Capriati hasnt beaten a higher ranked player in 2 years,

Clijsters 7-5 4-6 6-3

While I agree with u mmcdonald, we have to remember that she hasn't won a title since that win over martina in AO 2002. Even her win down under is not in any way convincing (albeit the drama). Add to that the fact that she has had terrible losses to players ranked below her.

Votes 50-33 for Capriati? LOL! I so wish this was a public poll.

I got your back disposable.

Kim in two straight sets. She has the better serve and the best fitness. Although if Jen wins I won't mind as it will help put Venus and the rankings.

Anyway Kim: 6/3 6/3 game set match. I am baffled at all the Jen votes?

My head says kim but my heart wants jen.

Robbie.

Anyone who thinks Jenn has no chance is kidding themselves.

Negative head to heads exist for a reason, and even though Kim has improved markedly since their last meeting I believe Jenn is playing better tennis than she was at AO 2002 as well.

I do not believe that Kim is playing as well as she was at the beginning of this year, while Jenn is on the rise. I also think that Kim's big match confidence is a little bit shaken. Look at the way she folded so easily against Venus and Serena since the AO.

This is not to say that Jenn has been pulling out close matches - which she most certainly hasn't. But she has been physically matching it, making it close, when the big matches come around against players who she has struggled against in the past. When you look at the last four matches jenn has lost they were to Serena, lindsay and justine - all three are hoodoo players for her. That won't be the case against Kim, and I think, if its close, which it inevitably will be, Jenn is going to have the confidence to pull this one out. Matches like these between two closely matched players often come down to the psychological edge. Jenn's opponents had that edge in her last four tourneys when little seperated them physically, but Jenn will have that edge here IMO.

Rob, there's a big difference between thinking someone has a chance and over 60% of the people expecting her to be the winner. There is no logical basis for Jen being the favourite in this match.
