View Full Version : Should Panova go back to challengers??

As we all know Tatiana Panova, my favourite Russina, has been playing extremely crap recently. She lost 1-6, 1-6 to Anna Pistolesi and 2-6, 1-6 to Sandra Kleinova. I think that it would be better for her to play a challenger. I mean, there's no shame in it~~ Kournikova, Frasier~~ loads of people are playing them.
To be honest, her form this year has been terrible, apart from the Capriati win ( and Jennifer hit something like 65 unforced errors in that match:

Lost 1r Auckland to Zvonerava 6-4, 6-1
Lost semis Sydney to Davenport 6-3, 7-5
Lost 3r Melbourne to Davenport 6-2, 6-1
Lost 1r Tokyo to Cohen Aloro 6-3, 6-0
Lost 1r Dubai to Schiavone 6-4, 6-0
Lost 1r Scottsdale to Black 6-0, 7-6
Lost 2r Indian Wells to Gagliard 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 ( and had a 6-4, 4-0 lead)
Lost 3r Miami to Serena 6-2, 6-1
Lost 2r Charleston to Daniela Hantuchova 6-2, 4-6, 6-3
Lost 1r Amelia Island to Lina Kras......a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2
Lost 1r Warsaw to Kleinova 6-2, 6-1
Lost 1r Berlin to Pistolesi 6-1, 6-1

They are nasty stats. When you compare that to the panova of 2002 ( 2 finals, semis, several quarters) I think what went wrong?

I have to agree... I didn't realize Tatiana was playing so awful lately.
