It would be a great match.

They have only played once; the first round of the U.S. Open in 1999 with Amelie winning 6-1 6-4.

But they are both totally different players now. Yes I hope to see that match, a good one it's destined to be. :eek:

Amazing that they have been in the Top 10 together for 2&1/2 years, and never played each other. They are in many ways so similar, two introverted Francophones with great dedication to the sport and rare excellent 1-hand backhands. But I prefer Justine, she is more mentally tough.

Amelie would bury justine in the clay court provided that the draw holds for Justine.;)
