Billie Jean King has released her take on the classic dance floor hit, Vogue. The track features a gospel choir consisting of Venus Williams, Serena Williams and, erm, no-one else.
Billie's version takes the song to a higher level than the original, and has already been used as the title track to Elton John's debut movie: "If she's fat and she knows it clap your hands".
The song is the first from Billie's long-awaited 3rd studio album. She gave a preview of it during Fed Cup week in April, assisted by Venus, Serena and Meghann Shaughnessy. Alexandra Stevenson developed a sore throat just five minutes before the show and could not appear.
Take it away Billie..................
VOGUE (toe touchin' version 03)
Touch your toes
Vogue
Look around, every girl you see is a fake
At every tournie you go
You try, everything you can to break
The crappy serves that they throw
When the strategy fails and you want to be
Some place better than you are today
I know a game where you can really play
It’s called the Fed Cup,
And here’s what it’s for, so
Come on, vogue
Let your forehand rip on the deuces
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue
Lose your temper, huff puff and blow
You know, you can do it
All you need, is your private hitting partner
Use him that’s what he’s for
But don’t try, to arrange a session during Cup week
Or your dreams will go through the door
It makes no difference if you’re 1 or you’re 2
Or if you’re just a young girl
‘Cos when Billie’s humping she will give you a fright
But she's a superstar, yes
That’s what she is, Elton knows it
Come on, vogue
Let your forehand rip on the deuces
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue
Lose your temper, huff puff and blow
You know, you know, you can do it
Billie’s such a cruel bitch
Cross her and you’ll feel the dyke pinch
Team Spirit is just mythical
That’s why she needs to bring control
Overbear, crush their souls
And force them on the tennis court
Come on, vogue
Let your forehand rip on the deuces
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue
Lose your temper, huff puff and blow
You know, you know, you can do it
Billie’s such a cruel bitch
(Lose your temper)
Billie’s such a cruel bitch
(Huff Puff and Blow)
Lisa Raymond, Mary Joe
Seles and fat Stefano
Lindsay Davenport, good ‘ole Zine
Neither ever reached my league
Venus Williams and little Rene
One half of my Dream Team
Alexandra, Jennifer
Fuckin’ bitches, outta here
Some had style, some had grace
But it’s me who has the fattest face
Dunkin Donuts, BK too,
Maccie D’s, I love you
Jennie with her attitude
Me in menopausal mood
Don’t just stand there, let’s get to it
Touch your toes, if you can do it
Vogue, vogue
