Meghann vs. Ashley
The American Blonde Squad. These two have never met before, but you have to give the advantage to top 10er Meghann.

Elena vs. Jelena
Jelena leads 4:2

2000-08-21 New Haven Hardcourt R32 Elena Dementieva (RUS) 6-4 6-3
2000-09-18 The Olympics Hardcourt SF Elena Dementieva (RUS) 2-6 6-4 6-4
2001-08-20 New Haven Hardcourt R32 Jelena Dokic (YUG) 4-6 7-5 6-4
2001-10-01 Moscow Indoor Carpet F Jelena Dokic (YUG) 6-3 6-3
2002-02-04 Paris Indoor Hardcourt QF Jelena Dokic (YUG) 5-7 6-1 6-2
2002-04-08 Amelia Island Clay QF Jelena Dokic (YUG)

Elena began strong in this "silent" rivalry, but Jelena took the next four matches. Howver, Elena is on the upswing again and has taken out up-and-comer Iroda and last year's champ, Iva. Jelena, on the other hand, is still looking for her game. Edge: Elena

Amanda vs. A. Myskina or M. Pierce
Amanda is tied 1:1 with Anastasia
2000-02-21 Oklahoma City Indoor Hardcourt R32 Amanda Coetzer (RSA) 7-5 6-2
2001-08-20 New Haven Hardcourt R32 Anastasia Myskina (RUS) 6-3 7-5
I think if A. Myskina slips by a rebounding Mary on her best surface, she will be hungry to get to through the latter rounds of this tourney. Edge: Myskina

Amanda Vs. Mary
Mary leads 7:3 in this other "silent" rivalry
1994-05-23 Roland Garros Clay R16 Mary Pierce (FRA)
6-1 6-1
1994-11-14 Virginia Slims Championships Indoor Carpet R16 Mary Pierce (FRA) 5-7 6-3 6-3
1995-04-21 Fed Cup (WG-QF) FRA vs. RSA Clay RR Amanda Coetzer (RSA) 6-4 6-3
1995-08-14 Toronto Hardcourt QF Amanda Coetzer (RSA) 6-4 5-7 6-0
1995-09-18 Tokyo Hardcourt SF Mary Pierce (FRA) 6-0 6-2
1997-01-13 Australian Open Hardcourt SF Mary Pierce (FRA) 7-5 6-1
1997-05-12 Berlin Clay SF Mary Pierce (FRA) 6-4 6-4
1998-10-05 Filderstadt Indoor Hardcourt R32 Mary Pierce (FRA) 6-2 6-2
1998-11-16 Chase Championships Indoor Carpet R16 Mary Pierce (FRA) 6-1 6-0
1999-03-15 Key Biscayne Hardcourt R16 Amanda Coetzer (RSA) 6-1 4-2 ret
Although Mary leads thier H2H, she's coming back from 2 years of injury and her fitness is not where she wants it. She will have spent her load defeating Myskina and fighting Coetzer, who has rebounded into the top 10, may be asking too much.

yup ur right. Jelena owns Dementieva, but i dunno now with her current form and all, but it's not like Dementieva has been amazing now so. i would still give the edge to Dokic though

And I would object to the designation of Iroda as an "up-and-comer". She has come, she has gone, and she is about come again!
