Yay Go Marie :bounce:

I don't know anything about Robinson either :( But 6-1 6-1 is good anyway :D

She WAS supposed to play around now but because of the weather she won't be playing for at least 1 and a half more hours. :(

1:6 4:6... what can i say? after last week's good fight i was pretty sure she could pull this one off - but the opposite was the case.
nathalie is just very, very consistent right now, and obviously a tough player. and i can just imagine all those unforced errors form marie... :(

good luck in amelia island, MGM!!!!! :D

Really disappointing. I thought she could pull it off to and unfortunately Marie just isn't consistent enough.

King Aaron
Apr 11th, 2003, 03:39 PM
What does ängstgegner mean?

Beat
Apr 11th, 2003, 05:42 PM
it's actually "angstgegner" sorry for being picky, linda

it means "feared opponent" (angst=fear; gegner= opponent)

:wavey:

hmpf I was thinking about it, and I thought there must have been an umlaut on the a :(

I believe the english expression for it is Black horse. Not sure ;)

Thanks Beat. :)

I think 'darkhorse' means underdog. I don't know/think if it's 'feared opponent'.

Zamboni
Apr 12th, 2003, 04:54 PM
hmm....lets stick with 'feared opponent' ;)

dictionary: dark horse: person you can't see through

dictionary: dark horse: person you can't see through

erm, sorry, yeah, darkhorse is definitely wrong (but i lke the word... ;) )

but aaron, you get the idea what "angstgegner" means now, don't you?

:wavey:

King Aaron
Apr 13th, 2003, 03:04 PM
Yes I do. Thanks Beat and Linda. :worship:

I think they got Darkhorse correct. Person you can't see through. Someone who you don't know the talent, someone who's mysterious. For tennis I think it's because you don't know if he/she can play well or can do well. ;)

1 and 1 against robinson was a good win, shadisha is a really big upcoming junior, has a lot of potential. she is a friend of mine and i watched this match and marie was just smoking her
