I've been reading a lot of articles that are claiming that the Tennis Channel has obtained rights to the Family Circle Cup and that there will be a mid-April release date. Could we be getting some coverage from the FCC off the Tennis channel?

There were rumours of it opening earlier, but it didn't.

ESPN has the rights to FCC, not the org but the tourney. ;)

S'posedly due to debut at the Monte Carlo masters series event, April 14-20 2003.

I'm grown wary of Tennis channel press releases. Believe it when you see it.

ESPN had an article suggesting that 'ole Pistol Pete might be in the booth.

buying rights and broadcasting are two different things

Aye. But Time Warner's endorsement does give TTC a foot in the broadcast door.

Pipe Dream 101 ... aka ... another TTC promise; the first airings will be commercial free.
