Anna Kournikova was the top player selected in the World TeamTennis draft Wednesday, by the Kansas City Explorers.

[Also drafted] Boris Becker, Martina Navratilova, Andy Roddick, James Blake, John McEnroe and Lindsay Davenport. The season runs from July 7-27, 2003.

Anyone know their website URL and/or have the complete draft results? Thanks! :)

Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off that ESPN didn't break into their regular programming to give the details of the Jeff Tarango for David Wheaton trade.

Eva Dyrberg is playing?

Maria Sharapova and Shenay Perry are on the same team too :D

For some reason, I don't think Panova will like WTT too much. She does not strike me as a player who can smile and relax during matches, as well as get pumped up, high five her team after wins etc. The party atmosphere on court may be too much for her.
