CHARLESTON, S.C. - Daniela Hantuchova and Elena Bovina, both rising stars on the WTA tour, have entered to play in the Family Circle Cup this month.

Hantuchova joins five other Top 10 players - Serena Williams, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Jennifer Capriati, Jelena Dokic and Chanda Rubin - in the tournament at Daniel Island on April 7-13.

After reaching the quarterfinals at the Australian Open in January, Hantuchova was ranked as high as No. 5 in the world. In 2002, she won her first professional event and first Tier 1 tournament at Indian Wells. She also had quarterfinal finishes at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.

Bovina, in her second full year on the WTA Tour, is ranked in the Top 20.

"These young women are two of the most talented players on the women's tour and they represent the future of women's tennis," said Frankie Whelan, Family Circle Cup executive director.

Good decision by Dani :)

Even though she plays a lot, I think she needs an extra tournament to make up for her bad result in Miami.

Good for them, and great for the Family Circle Cup.
Although I must say I don't get the part about "rising stars"
