What a shock, meghann must be playing amazing..first set 7-6 to meghann.p.s it was 7-2 in the tiebreak.
I hope all those Williams fans talking about how the Williams / Capriati QF showdown is gonna pan out, are choking on their words right now :D :wavey:

And what really amazes me is that she had 19 aces her first two matches and now already 6 against Venus! :eek: Her average 1st serve speed for the first 2 matches was 53% :)

Venus is a great fighter, and being ahead against Venus or Serena must be uncomfortable for any of the other players right now.

Congrats to Meghann for hanging tough and finally winning the match. This will be soooooo good for her.

Haha, the only reason I suddenly like Meghann so much is coz she's been partnering Dani in doubles, but who cares? GO MEG!!

Unfortunately for Meghann, Jennifer is cookin' with butter and will beat her in the quarters.

but this is a tremendous victory for Shaughnessy! Hello top twenty! She has had a torrid start to the season and good for her.

As for Venus, I'm sure she'll bounce right back. it's gotta be disappointing, but maybe this will inspire her to take a wild card into amelia island. She might need to defend the points now.
