The statistics aren't right...they're only good for the first two courts.

Congrats Marlene :)

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:33 PM
Winners, only 2 total? Geez, and Lisa Raymond has 27!!!!

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:33 PM
For the 3487358th time, the stats that aren't on the two major courts are incorrect.

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:34 PM
The aces and doubles faults are correct but they don't count the winners and unforced errors on the smaller courts.

The winners are the aces. The unforced errors are the double faults.

stadium, grandstand AND Court 1 have the right stats

of course, court 1 doesn't have serve speeds.

sorry i didn't know.

Could anyone please tell me why Eleni can't serve ??? She had 10 DF's and lost 8 of her 11 service games.

I ask this because I saw her againt Serena at AO and I thougt that she had a very good and dynamic service motion and you would expect a strong serve as the result. But her serving was pathetic and probably still is - way too slow, even on the first, and strings of terrible double faults.
She has definitely to work on that.

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:55 PM
I heard the commentating at the AO and thery said with her serve motion if her confidence failed so did her serve...

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:57 PM
Well done Marlene she is proving she was not a one hit wonder at the AO

Mar 23rd, 2003, 10:59 PM
Wow, Monica misses yet another tournament and EVERYONE who has a chance of getting near her flames out early.

Mar 24th, 2003, 12:03 AM
 Damn Eleni! What was wrong today?

Mar 24th, 2003, 12:13 AM
I don't think Marlene will be able to pull another Houdini against Justine tomorrow..

Mar 24th, 2003, 12:22 AM

A great win for Marlene. She seems to be making somewhat of a comeback this year.

No alarm bells ringing for Eleni just yet...she'll do well on clay (she can actually play on the stuff very well). Disappointing loss but she'll get over it.

marlene's becoming a bit of an upset specialist. ;) Good for her. I highly doubt she'll ship off Henin, though.

Mar 24th, 2003, 06:23 AM
Wow, looks like Marlene found her form back.
Good luck Juju. Be prepared!

Frankly, I don't understand Marlene's topsy turvy moments of greatness at all. Can't wait to see what she does from Miami to Paris.

Mar 24th, 2003, 10:55 AM
Marlene :D You are SO unpredictable...But I love you still :D ;)

Good luck against Justine !

Mar 24th, 2003, 10:59 AM
YAY for Marlene

I can't lose in the next match cos Justine is my fave too :D (well that also means i always lose of course  ;))

Marlene surprises me.

3 shocking losses in qualifying of minor events, then this

She┤ll go out to Henin for sure, but is assured of a place around 80 after Miami. Having in mind that she has nothing to defend in the next US weeks Sarasota=>Charleston and she reached the semis against Capriati 2 years ago in Charleston, she has a big chance for the top40 after the clay courts. But it┤s still not understandable that she needs 3 weeks to get back in form and let this opportunity for much more points slip away having in mind how she failed recently.

Congrats Marlene ;)

But what is wrong with Eleni's serve? Her serve also sucked at the Aussie Open so I think it is a problem that she has developed this year.
I remember last year at the Aussie Open, Wimbledon, etc. where her serve was considered a big weapon of hers. It doesnt seem so anymore
