Definitely French! :p She has that certain "Je ne sais quoi!" and is soon to become a top player.

Maybe somebody for ESPN didn't know Marion Bartoli from Alessandra Bartoli (who is Italian) and handed Mary Joe a card that said Marion was Italian?

anyway, i don't really see Marion becoming a top player. her results don't seem to indicate that.

She is only young. Here are her good results so far:

Round 3, Grand Slam, New York
Semifinalist Canberra, tier 5
Round 2, Indian Wells, tier 1
Round 4, Miami, tier 1~~ Marion still in the tournament.

Doubles semifinalist, Scottsdale, with Cohen Aloro.

Of course, i'm biased, becuase I'm a fan of hers!!!!

Marion is just 18 and already had great results.Shes a top 30 player for sure higher than that i don't know!

From what I've seen of her, Marion could be top 20. She just needs time.

On a side note, I like how she went up to Davey after the match and tried to console her. That was very nice of her. Not many players do that sort of thing. :)

Maybe she was thinking of Bartoli olive oil. ;) Did they show any of Marion's match today, I would like to see her.

Yeah, I also saw that Bradshaw#1, I thought it was so sweet, Lindsay was thankful for it I could tell. :)

Marion is good but she needs weapons to go further than the top 15

Oh that is nice of her! :D I've been a fan since watching her loose a very hard fought three set match against Ai Sugiyama, 7/5 in the third set, in the first round of Roland Garros last year. I was impressed by how hard she fought for that match even though she lost.

i dont see anything thats so special with this youngster...

She has a very odd service motion. I thought she had promise but I don't think she hits as hard or as close to the lines as Monica. She reminded me more of Santoro.

Everyone's comparing her to Monica, which is a tad unfair. I see Marion in the top 20.

She always watches and supports other French players's matches and I love the way she consoled Lindsay.
