Adriana Finally won her first match in Qualies at Yarrawonga
Even though it was a 3 set win over someone I never heard of she posted her first win of the year good work

She then lost 4-6 0-6 to Calderwood???

I hope she gets out of her current bad form and start winning matches

Does anyone know where she's going next over seas I hope I know she can win some matches maybe she doesn't play well in Australia??

Could someone give me some information on her game??

Losing like that to Calderwood should be the wake up call she needs. No offence to Bree, but at 22 or 23 she has barely even troubled the top 600 and is a perennial 'qualies' player at the Oz challengers. A terrible loss, made even worse by that bagel *shudder*

Something is up with Adriana, and I dont know what it is! Shitty form, pressure and who knows maybe there are some problems in her life at the moment.

I like her game and have seen her a couple times. Doesnt have a huge game but hits fairly hard and is (usually) consistent from the back of the court...no net game however. I think she is a talent and will make it someday, but right now she is in a BIG rut and it's going to take a couple months for her to get out of it. No idea what her schedule is, but she has no points coming off til September and now at 18 can play a full schedule :)

She has posted her best results in New Zealand and Japan, but has played 'OK' in Australia in the past (but not recently of course, lol).

Simon told me that her volley was crap? How could she won the Juniors Australian Open Girls Doubles with crap volley?

Who on the tour has perfect volleyes these days? And yes she did win the junior doubles...by playing well I imagine.

Sure they might need some work but that should be the least of her concerns right now...

For starters Dellacqua was a huge reason Szili won the doubles. Adriana still would have had to play reasonable, but teaming with someone so consistent that gets back 90%+ of their returns and is great at the net helps enormously! I saw Dellacqua play doubles with Sewell and they won 1st match main draw at Aust Open and Sewell was playing crap other than a few good volleys and dropping serve to love! It was clearly Dellacqua that got them through that match, she was playing superbly as she did against Maja in singles.

Szili hits average pace, not that hard, kind of the defensive pace of Evie. In fact I think their games are quite similar except that Evie has a bigger serve and much better court movement! Szili needs to be more aggressive in my opinion, she is in a slump as she has become to defensive in her play, well thats what I suspect. Her game is based on consistency with controlled aggression. I dont think she's been working hard enough since the Aust Open, perhaps her confidence was too high and she expected to romp in the results without maintaining all the hours of training because she thought she was better than most of the players here!

It's hard to know what's wrong, all we can do is speculate without any inside info.
She maybe restructuring her game a bit and her coaches are imploring her to stick with these changes despite the initial bad results.
Early days yet.....
