Tough draw :o But it is a Tier 1

Amanda plays Klara tomorrow on the court #2, fourth match. This will be a tough match. Klara is in good form and came very close to beating Amanda last week. Hopefully Amanda can repeat the dose :D

After that it only gets tougher....but we can think about that later :p

It's a tough draw yeah, but it's Indian Wells, it's supposed to be a tough draw ;)

What a great result, Go Amanda you have a great chance at the SF or better here,
Raymond seems to be playing a bit slower and she had a three setter, and she still has doubles, she lost in the 1st last week, and most importantly this is not indoor, you can whoop her A$$ and evenge yourself for memphis:)

then you have Hantuchova, who just might lose to strebotnik, and strebotnik is a streaky player she doesn't win more then a round or two at the big tournaments, and most importantly this isn't indoor carpet:)
and if Hantuchova does advance she might as well cave in, this hasn't been that impressive of an year for her, and i don't see her doing too well at indian wells, Amanda lost to hantuchova twice but both times where when Amanda had a slump, well she isn't in a slump anymore:)
In the QF's well jelena is already upset so that could be a piece of cake:)
and then the SF's well kim isn't playing too well, so i see her losing in the early rounds, and if not, she did lose to a player such as Ai, who has a similiar game to Amanda.
A confident Amanda could pull out a 10th career title here
but WE can talk the talk but lets see Amanda walk the walk by the way she already dispatched koukalova 6-2 6-2 in under an hour and she is a hell of a player just ask monica seles.
This seems to be a good sign
We might just see Amanda back in the top 15 after this next week:)

Wow, if the live scores were accurate, and I didn't misread - Amanda won 6-0, 6-3! Looked like Amanda just had a small lapse after the first set - went down 3-1 in the second, then ran off the last 5.

What a win  Thats the way to get revenge Amanda :D

Now hopefully she can give Dani a tough time in the next round. Its a big task, but if Dani is vulnerable on Tuesday, we can be sure that mandy in this current form will seize the opportunity for the upset :) Regardless, it has been a great week.

2 great wins Amanda! :bounce:

Mar 10th, 2003, 05:50 PM
Of course it will be a lot tougher against Hantuchova but I saw her play in Antwerp about a month ago, and I wasn't impressed at all, so I wouldn't think it's a lost match for Amanda when they start! She sure has a chance, and I hope she grabs it!

 Through to the quarterfinals with a commanding 6-4 6-4 victory of Dani :)

Back to #17 in the world and if she can win the quarterfinal against Conchita she will be back in the top 15 :)

Propi - ok, you cheer for Conchi, we cheer for Mandy ;) Let's hope it won't be a 2 hours moonball match ;)

Mar 13th, 2003, 03:20 PM
I don't think it will be too bad, because manda is going to the net a lot and playing confidently there.

Mar 13th, 2003, 05:07 PM
I hope you're right, Sam :)

Go Amanda against Conchi!

Mar 14th, 2003, 09:40 AM
6-2 6-1 :o

 So typical Amanda! *sigh*

Mar 14th, 2003, 12:12 PM

..eh probably not a good time for the Amanda fans(6-2 6-1 is pretty disappointing :( )..

..but i would like to congratulate Amanda for reaching the quarters of Indian Wells and wish her the best of luck for her next tournament! :)

Mar 16th, 2003, 11:33 PM
... of Amanda's tough defeat to C.M., does anyone know how it happened? Did Conchita handle Amanda's newfound agressiveness with too much ball action? Did Amanda lack patience? Did they just fall into old familiar patterns? Or maybe Amanda got bitten by the flu-bug that was going around the California desert...

I find it so tough to believe that another female tennis pro can take age out of the equation as well as Amanda. The only hint of match details I've seen was a story at:

Anyone have anymore information?
