First Round Doubles Match

Capriati & Majoli vs. Sugiyama & Clijsters

I predict that Sugiyama & Clijsters will win this interesting first round doubles match.

I don't recall Iva playing dubs before  I know Jen played with Hingis at the 01 US Open; and she plays mixed with Steven for awhile, but not on a reg. basis.

Kim and Ai know dubs more, the should win

i think Jenn/Majoli duo is only playing for fun...
but who knows they might decide to play on a regular basis after this tourney...

hope this will go to a 3 setter

Come on, Jen and Iva!!!!
I agree with Zhao, Jen and Iva are best friends and want to have fun, but they have a chance to beat Kim and Ai!!!
Good luck!!! :)

I've never seen Iva play doubles..I watched Jen play last year. Jen wasn't too bad..however her partner was Martina N. That helps lol :p

It will be an interesting match, I don't think Capster's team will pull it out, but it's nice to see them having some fun out there. Plus it is a great way to get some match play in to settle yourself.

However, since Cappy is hitting the court in her singles match first, my theory of getting match play in has been busted!

Did Jen & Iva withdraw? The scoreboard has Mueller & Roesch playing Kim & Ai
