These are two of my favorite players. Saw both of them practicing at the 'Tennis Garden' yesterday. Angie is a very fast learner, but I think Patty will have too much experience for her. My prediction is Patty in two sets.

i haven't ever seen angie play but i think patty will win it. angie hasn't really shown the rsults that she's ready to beat a player as good as schnyder. by that i mean a player who has beaten players like capriati, mauresmo and serena in the same year and in the same tournament. but with that said we can argue that patty was just playing well that week.

i'm pretty sure that angie has the talent to pull the upset but i don't think the time is now for her to do it. maybe in a couple of months she'll be ready. but you never know, this could be the tournament where she begins things.

Good luck angie

angie need to finish it in two sets 6-4 7-5
or down in the first set and won the next 2
so 3-6 6-4 6-4

or else she will lose something like 6-4 2-6 2-6..

i mean.. that's what i observed so far...

Patty, without any trouble... Angie hasn't shown that she can beat the top 20 girls at all yet (and no, Pistolesi on grass doesn't count).

totally agree, sartrista7 !
Angie seems to be a little bit lethargic these weeks whereas Patty is still the troublemaker of the tour ...

Patty eases through 6-3 6-2, go girl !

My prediction for this match was Patty in two. Angie proved me and a lot of other people wrong. That's a big win for her. Did anyone see this match? What happened?

Angie def Patty 6-4 6-2 :p

Patty is The World #13 (Isn't she is TOP 20 player or even TOP 15 honey!)

This result will shut your BIG mouth!

and how dare The Wimbledon 2002 result it doesn't count, where did you get this idea from :fiery: Thinking before your post honey! :o

You'll have to excuse me for not giving lots of credit to the people who picked their favourite player to win, and are now gloating about it :p

But congrats to Widjaja ;)

I knew Angie would win this..... this means that this is Angie's best result so far as she's beaten another top 20 player in her career (she has also beaten Pistolesi at Wimby last year, ranked 15 at that time)

OK... congrats Angie. (I do actually root for her... I just think she's overrated.) Yeah, Patty is the world no 13, and the reason that she's not in the top 10 is because she is a) not very good on hardcourts and b) a weird fruitcake type. Still, congrats Angie for stepping up.

Pistolesi at Wimbledon does not count  I'd be very, very worried if Angie, or indeed just about anyone in the top 100, couldn't beat her on grass.
