Little article about it:
Coetzer Wins Mexican Open for Second Time
.c The Associated Press
ACAPULCO, Mexico (March 2) -- Amanda Coetzer of South Africa won the Mexican Open for the second time in three years, using a more-controlled game to overcome Mariana Diaz-Oliva of Argentina 7-5, 6-3 on Sunday.
Coetzer, seeded second and ranked 23rd in the world, also won the tournament in 2001, broke her opponent's serve in the first game of the second set to take control. She needed just one hour, 56 minutes to win.
Diaz-Oliva is the world's No. 104 and was not seeded, but the 26-year-old hoped to use a speedier serve and a more powerful forehand to keep her opponent on the run.
Diaz-Oliva broke Coetzer's serve in the first set's fourth game to take a 3-1 lead. She then appeared to lose a step, dropping four straight games during a stretch when she double-faulted three times and saw her long ground strokes carry out of bounds on the clay court.
Agustin Calleri used blistering ground strokes to out-duel fellow Argentine Mariano Zabaleta 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 and win the tournament's men's singles title Saturday night. It was the 26-year-old's first major tournament victory.
In men's doubles Saturday, top-ranked Mark Knowles of the Bahamas and Daniel Nestor of Canada overcame Spaniards David Ferrer and Fernando Vicente 6-3, 6-3. Knowles and Nestor finished the tournament without losing a set.

Coetzer captures Acapulco crown
March 02, 2003
Acapulco, Mexico (Sports Network) - Amanda Coetzer of South Africa captured the Mexican Open tennis tournament on Sunday with a straight-set victory over Mariana Diaz-Oliva of Argentina.
The second-seeded Coetzer posted a 7-5, 6-3 victory to claim this title for the second time in three years. She hadn't won a tournament since the 2001 Mexican Open and on Sunday earned her ninth career WTA singles crown.
It has been a solid couple of weeks for the 20th-ranked player in the world, as she was the runner-up to Lisa Raymond at last week's tournament in Memphis. This title was worth $27,000.
On Sunday, Coetzer fell behind 3-1, but won four straight games on her way to taking the first set. A break of serve in the first game of the second set was all the 31-year-old Coetzer needed and she finished the match in just under two hours.
Diaz-Oliva, ranked 104th, was trying for her second career WTA title. The 26- year-old's only previous tournament victory came last year in Palermo.
