View Full Version : Theoretically, Serena can actually gain a few points

Last year, Serena earned 334 points for winning the Scottsdale title.

This year, if Serena wins the title again by beating Stevenson + Dechy + Davenport + Clijsters, she will earn 342 (195 + 15 + 23 + 43 + 66) points. That is the maximum. That will be 8 more points than last year.

But of course, the draw never unfolds exactly the way you would expect and the higher ranked players don't always make it through.

actually stevenson is now #26 so she is only worth 15 pts...
so the max is 342...but i doubt stevenson will even win...

haha, how silly - Every point counts, but the top two places are going to be decided at the Slams. Serena is so far above the rest. How many tournaments does she have counted for her 7000000 points? 9? hehe

14, actually...she's only three off the full 17, and i don't think she'll even get to 17...
