I am puzzled: I cannot find Lina in the MD of IW

Are my eyes deceiving me or she won't play there?

Any news why Lina is not playing IW?

King Aaron

Let's be a little patient and see what Eggy can find out.

This is the NEWS:
She just decided not to play Indian Wells.

Lina would still have made the maindraw
she was ranked 72 after Doha and that was the rank used for the player movement. that would have placed in maindraw as CM-Granados was top seed in qualies.

IMG own this event and gave the WC's to their players.

Lina won't be playing Miami either :(

she'll come for Sarasota, Charleston and Amelia Island, then back to Europe

We have to accept her decision not to play IW and Miami, although I´m a bit disappointed about it :(

I hope that she will play in Berlin so that I can see her :D

Thanks for the news and for answering my pm-questions Eggy :)

Thanks for the news. That's really disappointing. I have good coverage of IW and Miami and was hoping to see her play a bit. :(

Why doesn't she want to play the 2 Tier Is? Going staright to clay....is it a better choice?

TheBoiledEgg
Mar 5th, 2003, 02:45 PM
she didn't want to play 6-7 tournaments in a row.

she had just played Doha and Dubai.
then she wouldn't have any real time off.

She can practice at home as well as get some studies in.

I'm sure she will play here next yr.
Thiese are the 1st Tier 1 she's missed really on her own accord.

I think it's a sensible decision.

Lina has worked her ranking up and her mind and body deserve to have some rest now. ;)
