Realitically I see 2-3 more players to get to the top 100 in the next year or 2 and that's it.

Nadia Petrova
Mariax2

Anna's B. and Vera's Z. progress is a little bit dissapointing

Why is Vera's disappointing?

sysoeva has dropped back after reaching a tier 5 quarter-final which was dissapointing and i also think anna b's, vera d's and afinogenova's progress are dissapointing.

but vera d should be in the top 150 soon if she lives up to any of her talent.

glad Vera's proved to do pretty good ;)
11 events and just outside top 100.

Still 11 girls in top 100 but a few changes, but all in all, its been positive progress upwards.
Tatiana is playing again, now just need Anna to get going again.

Vera D, just ranked outside the top 100. Still under the AER. With her schedule she didn't do too bad. Though curious about Anna T. her schedule looks fine, a few tourneys left before her next birthday. Anna still has a small chance to reach the R.G-Qual. IMO, she's capable of winning an indoor carpet 25 K.

The big change was 4 Russians now in the top 15. And Lena and Maria are both capable of being there. So are Sveta and Lina.
There's been a huge forward move. But the next step is tougher. Into the top 5. Being a regular in slam semifinals.

But I think in the next few years, it will happen.

Then the final step. Winning majors. World #1.
We're a long way from it. But it's a good goal for the future.

Tatiana was #22 in the world in February. I hope in 2004 she brings her ranking all the way back.
