supercmfan, to answer the question you asked me in the other thread....

joer sonja como puede gustarte esa tia

translated: Fucking hell Sonja how can you like that bird?

My answer:

Lina is a wonderful player. Her game is enviable. She’s tough, a fighter, and believes she can get the job done. I’ve watched her play for years now and have seen the way she’s improved and her passion for the game. Lina’s a “giant killer” who’s got the power, pace, and strokes to trouble the top players. I’ve also seen that she takes her game very seriously and has a fierce longing to play. So tell me, supercmfan, how can you NOT like her?

Dubai Open

Krasnoroutskaya had an ankle injury last season

Lina Krasnoroutskaya continued her comeback from injury with victory over Adriana Serra Zanetti in the first round.

The Russian, who reached the semi-finals in Qatar last week, beat the experienced Italian 6-3 6-0.

Krasnoroutskaya was the junior US Open and world champion in 1999 and reached the quarter-finals of the 2001 French Open at the age of 17.

But an ankle injury in last year's Australian Open sidelined her for much of the season.
