I see a pattern with kim vs justine

kim wins 2, juju one, kim wins 2, juju one, kim wins 2

so the winner in antwerp is: JUSTINE

Go Justine and Daniela

Daniela is a fluke against Venus. Everyone was talking so much about her when she took venus to 3 sets at 2002 Australian. She caught Venus unfocused and off guard, but also Venus was making errors. Since the, Hantuchova has only managed one 6-4, Venus will Cruz, she just doesn't have what it takes to beat Venus or Serena, she is a great player, but she is ranked where she belongs, in the group w/ Kim and Justine. These three are the next best, but they have NOTHING on Venus and Serena right now, and unless phsycially they get in better shape, the sisters will dominate, b/c these are the top players right now, and the sisters aren't having any problems beating them, really the only contender i see for them is Lindsay Davenport, i think with some consistent tennis she can get to number 3, its very obvious she is better than clijsters and henin, but she is not the same player "mentally" before she left the tour and came back. she got into such good phsyical shape, but mentally she has been breaking down! she would be awesome if she would get that part of her head together!

I'd say: Let's wait and see ;)

of course it's easy to predict that venus will reach the final, but FIRST of all they have to play it out :D after all your fancy talk i must admit I would really laugh out loud when venus does NOT win this tournament :p no offending

so, c'mon dani, you can do it :bounce: :bounce:

Or, in the style of the disrespectful 'Venus Forever'.....

"Send the Yank back home":wavey:

Daniela knows it is now payback time, and Williams is gonna pay for that defeat in Oz last month. Williams was so lucky to win that first set in Melbourne, had Dani won that, which she should have, it would have been a completely different game. Williams' game was riddled with errors that day, and luckily for her, so was Daniela's.

Tomorrow however, Ms. Williams will not be so lucky.

Venus is gonna get Dani, but I am smelling a three setter. Say Venus 6-2; 5-7; 6-4

Kim is gonna roll over Justine like she always does. Clijsters 6-3; 6-2:D

Justin hasn't been the same since she chocked against Clijster " The 2003 Chocker of the year finalist already" in Paris two years ago..

Clijster in 2 sets..

Venus vs Hantuckova

Just hand the title to Venus already

The only way Venus would breeze through for the title is if Justine wins 2morrow. Or KIM will give Venus the fight of her life IMO. Venus will not breeze through Kim...

why would hantucova be looking for revenge now? i thought she was still trying to avenge her lost to venus at the Pilot Pen? i guess she just overlooked that one huh? oh well, i don't see her getting the "revenge" you "say" she is wanting!

SerenaSlam
Feb 14th, 2003, 11:14 PM
thats is IMO for you...to me Kim has nothing on venus, if venus is on kim bye bye, if venus if off...kim bye bye...venus completely off, kim will win, but something like 7-5 or 7-6 in the third....and its ashame that it would take all that to beat a williams off her game!

NAH... IF IT'S VENUS VS CLIJCHOCKER.. CLIJSTER WILL BUILD A 6-1,4-0 LEAD THEN FIND A WAY TO LOSE

I thought Venus was injured? I'm sure someone will come up with a consistent story for Venus 02 OZ someday.

Venus WAS injured at OZ 02. At OZ 03, Daniella looked pathetic against Venus. And Venus wasn't even on top of her game.

I think we're going to see a Venus-Kim final. But I'd prefer Venus-Justine. I love their match-ups!

I'd prefer Justine vs Venus. Not that I get to see the match anyhow, but something about Kim vs Serena-Jenn-Venus-Seles and so on, bores the piss out of me.

actually IMHO Venus wasn't injured in the AUSOPEN 2002 match against Hantuchova but Venus was very cautious in the first set- wouldn't run down balls and just looked like she was thinking "how much can my knee take" (plus hantuchova was playing good tennis )it was a more mental thing than a physical one. Then the second set Vee felt more comfortable and took more chances- the rest is history

that's just my take :)

Of course because Hantuchova did take a set off Venus some people started to think her game was as good as Venus.............

GOOD LUCK VENUS :D

Venus was definitely injured at the Aus Open 2002. She could hardly move, and when she served she couldnt jump into her serve. As the match went on she got used to playing with the injury and managed to get through. I think Venus will win pretty easily today, and Kim will win in two tight sets.

I AM VERY CONFIDENT.....VENUS' VENOM WILL BE ALL THE WAY TO THE FINALS! Kim is a good player but she hasn't been a real threat to Venus....her only win against Vee was at the Barclay Cup where it was a three-setter and Vee was so off that time.

GO QUEEN VEE......WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN..........

I am a big Venus fan, but I wonder how off she could have been because she beat Kim 6-1 in the first set and if I remember was up a break in the second. But I agree that she will in straight sets against Daniela today and will beat Kim tomorrow. If Venus wins, sickness cannot be used as a reason (even though Kim is sick), Venus has been playing a better tournament and usually steps it up in the later rounds.
