bangs another winner...

Man, what a boring fellow

CB - Thank you!
That whistling idiot is truly annoying.
I think this is the first tennis match that he has ever seen as well.

I know... Fowler has never done a tennis match in his life. It's not the best time for him to start now.

Why isn't Cliff Drysdale announcing the match?

Serena, please stop hitting return winners ;)

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:39 AM
*badly annoyed*

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:39 AM
yeah he is irritating me too. but we shoudl write to ESPN instead of just complaining here.

then again, i've never seen him do this before. it must be bec Serena is just incredible...;) ;)

I don't think they'll be inviting him back for commentary next year. He made that same whistling sound in the previous semi final every time Venus made a huge serve. He's terrible.

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:45 AM
Shit!!!!! Now he whistled after a doublefault by Clijsters

This commentator is seriously biased

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:45 AM
Now he whistled after a Kim DF. Has he just learned how?

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:46 AM
He's fine being the guy who introduces the show and stuff, but definitely keep him away from announcing.

I really don't get it... since Fowler rarely announces in other sports either.

Heck, even Mal is infinitely better than him.

Hurley ;)

Jan 23rd, 2003, 04:48 AM
Well, now he only said Wow :)

I suppose he's a member of Wtaworld ;) hehe

:D - I know! He must have whistled about 8-10 times in the first set. Strange, but he would whistle on both great winners and bad misses.

He did the same thing during the Justine/Anna K. match - mostly when Anna would hit a wild shot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's annoyed by that. I was thinking to myself, when will that jerk stop whistling! Those are the noises that you make when you're watching a match at home or if you're with your friends at a tournament, not when your commenting live on national television!

Jan 23rd, 2003, 01:34 PM
Ok this thread is too much, thats exactly what I was thinking last night as I was watching the match.. I was like dude, get over it! Hahahaha!

See also my "Out with Fowler" thread in the AO forum -- this guy has *got* to go! What a dope!

I wish they'd all figure out that sometimes the match can speak for itself, and just put a sock in it.
