We don't celebrate it in Canada, but we all shall give a big hand to history shapers such as:
- Dr Martin Luther King, Jr
- Nelson Mandela
- Mahatma Gandhi

I live in Birmingham, Alabama where all of that stuff happened with the Civil Rights movement and all...I was down in Downtown today with my family buying a new car, and I saw a parade they had going on in honor of MLK Jr. It was very interesting...they do the march every year where MLK Jr. marched. :)

Happy MLK day for everyone.

A bit tennis related from Florida's sun-sentinel:
In Fort Lauderdale, tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, were presented awards for exemplifying [Martin Luther] King's dream of peace and nonviolence. The Williams sisters were not at the ceremony; both are still alive in the singles draw at the Australian Open, the season's first Grand Slam event.
