View Full Version : Hoping for a Henin - Clijsters quarterfinal

Jan 6th, 2002, 06:47 PM
It will be tough though, Kim has a bye in the first round but Justine plays Schett to whom she lost in Moscow last year. Second round will be tough for both but especially for Justine as she has to play the winner of Martinez/Dementieva. Kim will take on Silvia Farina-Elia.
I hope they both come through so that we can see an all Belgian quarterfinal. The winner of that match has a good chance of playing the final too.

Allez Justine! :bounce: :bounce:

Go Kim! :bounce: :bounce:

COME ON KIM!!!!!!!!

Jan 6th, 2002, 08:09 PM
Indeed, a very tough draw for Justine :(

I'm hoping for Juju and Kim to meet in the quarterfinal!

Justine and Meghann meet Kim and Sugiyama in the first round in doubles!!! :(

Sofie your link is still not working here...(the one in your signature)...
just remove the slash at the end..and it should work

Jan 6th, 2002, 09:26 PM
I actually didn't put a slash at the end, I guess it's added automatically. So even if I link to www.henin.net , the slash is added. Anyway, I added the index.htm so the link in my signature should work now.

Thanks for letting me know, again! ;)

Jan 6th, 2002, 11:41 PM

Jan 9th, 2002, 10:19 AM
There it is the first Belgian battle of the new tennis season. :bounce: :bounce:

I hope Justine can win, she needs those points so much. She seems to be in great form. Kim struggled against Silvia, but then impressively turned the match around. Anything is possible I think. Justine always seems to feel more pressure when she's playing Kim... Oh well, good luck girls! May the best girl win! :bounce:

Jan 9th, 2002, 01:12 PM
Good luck to both girls!!!!

I'm so much hoping Justine can win this..but I don't have a clue..it all depends on the shape of the day..

Jan 9th, 2002, 02:11 PM
Your wish has come true per4ever :)
Wouldn't you love Justine to win that match (just for the excitement of a semifinal against Martina) ? I am already licking my chops.

Jan 9th, 2002, 02:31 PM
This is kool...i cant wait for see this match

Go Justine!!!!

Jan 9th, 2002, 03:29 PM
YAY! Well done girls! :D

I hope this match will be on TV.

Allez Justine! :bounce::bounce:
Go Kim!:bounce::bounce:

Jan 10th, 2002, 10:59 AM
The match was terrible..and Kim won again

I really hope she can play better on the Aussie Open..

Jan 10th, 2002, 04:52 PM
I have the impression that Justine tries too hard when she plays Kim. It seems like she wants to overpower Kim when in fact that's not possible. Kim on the other hand keeps her head cool and does all the right things. The first set was pretty good though but level dropped in second.

Good luck in Melbourne Justine! :)

Go Kim! Beat Hingis! :bounce: :bounce:

This wasn't a good match at all from Justine :( Hope she has a better Aus Open :) Kim played good enough!

Jan 10th, 2002, 07:48 PM
Oh, Justine :( What an awful match. Just when she was playing so well this week, so collapses against Kim, again!

Good luck Kim against Martina! :bounce:

Jan 13th, 2002, 07:23 PM
Bij de weg, this thread also works for the AO!
Again, let's hope for a Kim-Justine quarterfinal!!
We all know that both Kim and Justine are capable of beating Jennifer Capriati.

Jan 13th, 2002, 07:34 PM

Jan 21st, 2002, 11:06 PM
Good luck to both Kim & Justine!!!

Make it a great quarter-final!!! :bounce:

Jan 23rd, 2002, 03:09 AM
Good luck to both Kim and Justine, and may the best girl on the day win.

Jan 23rd, 2002, 03:47 AM
Good luck girls!!!!!! May the best one win :D

Jan 23rd, 2002, 05:50 AM
And the best one was clearly Kim.
I never saw her play so solid and Justine that bad!

Jan 23rd, 2002, 05:59 AM
Justine wasn't even placing the ball, she was just trying to whack it harder than Kim...so disappointing but Kim played great!

Jan 23rd, 2002, 12:24 PM
Justine played terrible...like Josh said she only brought the ball back as hard as possible. Not much variation, not much running for Kim.. Kim used the whole court, and Justine had to run like crazy to get all those balls..

Jan 23rd, 2002, 03:57 PM
Poor Justine

Yaaaaaay!! Well done Kim!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
