Iva In Sunny Queensland

Well the draw is out!! Iva has drawn Mikaelian in round 1!! Silvija Talaja or Marion Bartoli are next :eek: and Ai is her seeded opponent in the QF!

She's beaten MGM before (Charleston) so Im confident she'll do it again! But this is a surface MGM likes so it will be a battle!

Anyway, lets go Iva! Start off 2003 with a bang :kiss:

A difficult draw, but I'm hoping Iva will get through to the semis and play Patty again!!! MGM can really bang the ball, but she can also be eratic and movement is not the best part of the her game. Iva will need to get a lot of 1st serves in to keep MGM from attacking her 2nd serve. Low UE's and moving the ball around will also be key. Although I hope Silvija wins, it's a shame she would have to play Iva in the next round. Have they ever played each other in a WTA event before? I'm not sure- I'll have to check...
