I've always supported you Germans. I don't get it... Belgians, Dutch, Russians, Latin-Americans, Spaniards etc. all have their own forum, but Germans (and Brits!) don't get 1?

Dec 25th, 2002, 12:51 PM
yes, thats unfair
and thats why i started 5 threads
and i will try to keep them alive
and hopefully we will get our own forum!!!

Phew ! Well done Anca ! :) The tie-break was 8-6 !

Jan 5th, 2003, 05:18 PM
Guess we still have to wait for confirmation that Anca won (or lost).
yahoo.com has Martina winning, yahoo.de Anca.
ARD has Anca, ZDF both.

betandwin.de has Anca, BTW. I have already received my money. ;)

Jan 5th, 2003, 06:00 PM
i think Anca won!!!

Jan 5th, 2003, 06:09 PM
the printable ranking from the WTA has Müller as winner, but the frontpage from WTA says Barna won

Jan 5th, 2003, 08:23 PM
Michael Blue has Martina as winner. :(

I begin to believe that Martina has actually won. :(

Jan 7th, 2003, 08:30 AM
Anca lost  6:7 5:7

Jan 7th, 2003, 11:39 AM
Too bad. :( And so close.

And I checked ARD-text first and they have Anca as winner. :(

Jan 7th, 2003, 11:45 AM
speedy posted on the gherman threa in Non-Tennis, and said Anca was up with 5:2 at the 1st set, and 5:2 in the tiebreak.
and at the 2nd set she was up 3:0.

Jan 7th, 2003, 12:10 PM
Yes, I have just read it.

Too bad, I hope this doesn't do anything to her confidence.

Apart from that, it was a decent start into the season.

Jan 7th, 2003, 12:20 PM
BTW, Anca has dropped 10 places and is only ranked 72 now. :( Not that we are surprised. ;)

Hopefully she will win one (or two/three/etc.) round(s) in Melbourne. :)

Jan 7th, 2003, 03:50 PM

Jan 15th, 2003, 05:49 AM

Great wins Anca!!!! Bring on Ansley :p ;)

Jan 17th, 2003, 01:07 PM
Anca lost 1-6 4-6. But good performance, with a bit more luck the 2nd set would have been hers.

She's committed for Tokyo, but she said in an interview that her next tournament will be Paris.

Last year her next event was Paris, so I assume we will see her there again. :)
