I heard it on CNN-Sports that he is thinking of retirement.. after an emergency knee operation just last week...
After the 2000 french open finals.. its seems everything went downhill after that.... :( :fiery: :fiery:
Just kinda sad... He is only 26 years old!!! ;) ;) ;)

Shame - I always enjoyed watching him, and that FO 2000 final was absolutely brilliant.

He is only 26 but his injuries have been very severe - and to compete on the men's side you have to be very strong and fit.
The thing is is that he took Jim Courier's philosophy - train as hard as possible in the gym - basically be a workhorse and push yourself to the limit and it will pay off on the court. Unfortunately I think this approach has probably ended his career - there is only so much the body can take.

I hope he returns though for one last shot.

I'll miss Magnus but he has *nothing* to be ashamed of. Considering that open heart surgery *almost* took him out of the game in his early 20's and then he rebounds all the way to #2 is incredible. :)
