Wow VERY surprising I must say....

Did you notice that "Far From Heaven" hasnt been nominated for Best Picture?
Also, no nominations for Jennifer Aniston , and Julianne Moore ( In the Supporting Actress category). And it seems Nicole's campaign has finally paid off , and she's been nominated for "Best Actress"

Did you notice Adam Sandler's been nominated?
And Merly Streep has got the double nom.
Will she do at the Oscars too?

Hurley

She surely will. And I think she has a great shot at pulling off the double...at least better than anyone else has ever had.

Meryl hasn't won an Oscar for 20 years! I think she'll win Supporting for "Adaptation."

Looking for Mr. Nicholson to win here. Also predicting a win for Diane Lane. Was disappointed to not see Paul Newman or Tom Hanks for Road To Perdition

No nominations for Minority Report? That really sucks. Samantaha Morton and Colin Farrell deserved supporting actor nods.

Well at least there were a couple of pleasant surprises (Maggie Gyllenhaal, Adrien Brody). I can completely see the Foreign Press honoring Greek Wedding which is The Full Monty reincarnated (in the undeserving sleeper vein). I'm sorry to the fans of the film - I hope you enjoy the upcoming sitcom version of the movie as well.

I can tell who's going to win most of the film categories already. Meryl Streep has got one in the bag. Most likely for her role in "Adaptation." Julianne Moore will win for "Far From Heaven" and Nia Vardalos is taking out the Comedy or Musical category. "Adaptation" will win for screenplay and for Nicolas Cage. Leonardo DiCaprio would have won had he been nominated for "Gangs of New York." Jack Nicholson will win that for "About Schmidt." Martin Scorsese will win direction for "Gangs of New York" and will probably take out the Oscar as well. It's "his turn," so to speak.

The TV categories change only very slightly from year to year and once again they've forgotten Sarah Michelle Gellar. :(

Best Actress in a Drama Series is tough to call. Rachel Griffiths or Edie Falco will win for their respective shows. Marg Helgenberger is a good outside bet. Allison Janney already won the "serious" award at the Emmy's. I don't find her all that great on "The West Wing" but this isn't MTV-voting, so who knows? Jennifer Garner would be a shock winner. I think she's a filler this year.

"24," Kiefer Sutherland and "Friends" will pick up awards, as will Jennifer Aniston, Dennis Haysbert and Kim Cattrall. Leading Male Actor in a Comedy or Musical is a tough call. Matt Le Blanc is funny but isn't strong enough an actor to win. Eric McCormack hasn't had a great season as far as storylines go. I think Bernie Mac is good, but I'm not sure if he's seen as legit or a joke in America. I've never seen "Monk" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm" to be able to judge Tony Shalhoub or Larry David.
