hey, i'm searching for new movies and series about arts, design, beauty and all that inspires and uplifts the soul.
I believe that documentaries (and animation) are the best source.

Great thread. I love documentaries. I watched an episode of Frozen Planet the other day as well as a doc about the changing distribution of lions in Africa.

South of the Border is a fave documentary feature film of mine.
The September Issue is fascinating too.

La Soufrière (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Soufri%C3%A8re_(film)) and The White Diamond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_White_Diamond) by Werner Herzog are two of the most visually breathtaking documentaries I've ever seen.
