Albums, singles, artists, whatever, and however you want to list them.

Mine is a Top 15 albums. (Might do a singles list also.)

15. METZ - METZ

These two boys from Ottawa and one from Toronto hammer away with propulsive abandonment annihilating the other '90s indie rock revivalists Japandroids, No Age, The Men, etc.

krGDNbT4CSE

14. Matthew Ryan - In The Dusk Of Everything

Harrowing and beautiful folk album.

Probably missing out a few, will update when I remember.
This year has been fucking amazing. Music (especially from UK) has been top notch. Can't wait for 2013.

10. Mark McGuire - Nightshade

"A small, dark stage in the open air, a light drawing constellation trails on the hills, underneath the infinite"

http://markmcguire.bandcamp.com/

9. Danko Jones - Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue

The loudmouth tongue-wagging Danko has got me back on the bandwagon with the addition of one of the finest drummers on the planet, Atom Willard (ex-Rocket From The Crypt, Angels And Airwaves, The Offspring, Social Distortion) to step up his game and to keep on punching even if rock and roll is black and blue.

8. Mark Lanegan Band - Blues Funeral

With his whisky-drenched, smoke-scarred baritone rasp he makes depression sound beautiful and angelic and bearable.

7. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 'Allelujah! Don't Bend Ascend

6. Deftones - Koi No Yokan

Dear me, all my album purchases are from past years except two (Kiss' "Monster" and Linkin Park's "Living Things").

One of my 2013 resolutions will definitely be 'buy more music from 2013'.

2. Bob Mould - Silver Age

The Master of guitar blitz-pop swirling melodies rock returns for a full album. No electronica. No auto-tune. Just goosebumps. Like he has been giving me since I was 8 yrs old.

1. USA Out Of Vietnam - Crashing Diseases And Incurable Airplanes

"This debut is indeed a slippery eel to harness as it features elements of psychedelic, black metal, 60’s and 70’s orch pop, noise, modern minimalist composition, post rock, musique concrete, punk, drone and shoegaze - all reaching epic proportions – but it ultimately hangs its hat on pop music (albeit ten to fifteen minute long pop songs).

Hovering over the dense cacophony are barbed pearls of destitution and desire as well as an undying faith for salvation."

Yeah I'll just rely on the Tennis Forum Music Awards to tell me what music represented my 2012 :angel:LANA DEL REY, CHELLA H LEAD TFMA NOMINATIONS

December 17, 2012

GENOVA - The TFMA announced yesterday the nominees for the first Tennis Forum Music Awards. The event being held in the Non-Tennis section of Tennis Forum has attracted scores of attention when it was announced that members could vote for the winners.

Newcomer Del Rey, who scored nods in the Best Newcomer, Best Act, Best Album for "Born to Die", Most Promising Act, Best Song and Best Video as well as the prestigious Most Overrated Act category, who famously failed to not receive one single Grammy nomination was said to be ecstatic at the news.

"Lana was distraught at being snubbed by the grammies," a source told this paper, "But when she heard that she might win a couple of TF Music Awards later this month she could barely control her emotions."

Other nominees include:
Azealia Banks for Most Promising Act
"Somebody that I Used to Know" by Gotye for Best Song
"MDNA" by Madonna for Best Cover
"Poke It Out" by world renouned Chicago rapper Chella H for Ratchet Anthem.

The winners of the awards will be announced in here (http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?t=471751) in Non-Tennis on 30 December 2012.

I doubt anyone here is into metal, but this was definitely the album of 2012 for me(hence the username):

Outside of that Azealia Banks' 1991 EP was the only other release I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this year.
