A trained seal could do a better job of mentoring than she does on X Factor. :o

She is mediocre as a judge in terms of the short comments she gives. Nobody can deny that.
But she's done great as a mentor. Carly will likely win the thing under her.

Carly will never be as relevant as Britney. Even if she wins X Factor, I don't know how far she'll go before the record label drops her like they do with everyone else that wins a singing competition.

Well, yes. The music industry isn't exactly about talent these days and hasn't been for awhile. :o

Too true.

Whilst I do really like Britney, should we be thrilled that someone who is not a good singer or songwriter and who is starting to look like a middle-aged waitress is raking in $58 Million a year?

I know her diehards will jump in with all the Godney stuff, but outside her core she is not really relevant. Not in the UK anyway.

It's a good thing the UK is a non-mother fuckin factor.

Why do you all always takes the Forbes lists as if they're auditable receipts

They're non-sourced guesstimates by people who probably don't have advanced maths qualification. They're also so USA centric.

I wouldn't be surprised if Britney was the most paid female artist in 2012, but that's mainly because the X-Factor contract likely brought hard cash directly into her bank account. I find it hard to believe that Adele wouldn't earn more given her international airplay royalties which must be huge, and her album and singles sales for this period. She probably sees a cut of each sale.

I agree with this :oh:

Still though, Britney is a success due to her team. She is thoroughly exposed and they always pick great songs.

Does she deserve $58 million dollars? Honestly?

Britney released NOTHING in 2010 and yet topped the list ahead of the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift etc. Britney is now 14 years into her career while these girls are AT THEIR PRIME. And Britney still ends up making more money than any of them without even releasing an album or going on tour that year.
