Shenzhen, Seoul and Guangzhou have indicated to the SEWTA that they will offer purses of $500K in 2013

as a result they will be able to afford two top 10 players

looks like Asia is flush with $$$ and that will be the future of the SEWTA

so now you'll have a bunch of MM's @ 500K and the WTA Challengers ... hmmm Miss Stacey created a whole new gap she can control.

In Seoul, the two finalists grabbed more than 33% of the total purse. That's just all kinds of wrong. If the other 500k's have the same prize distribution, would that not hurt the ordinary Premier's, since the winner gets more $$$ from a 500k?

If Li Na is playing then that's kinda difficult to expect.

Though we tend to know Li flops in most Chinese tournaments.

now the SEWTA has $500K, $220K, $125K, it it almost similar to the Tier 3, Tier 4, Tier 5 from before :oh:

Well if that's the case then I'd prefer if they swap Tashkent and Guangzhou in the Calendar, otherwise it's two 500k in one week.

The $500k is still same MM with 280pts, whatever is the money.
Dubai had $2M this year still was same category as Brussels or Stuttgart.

500k's should be 64 draws if any logic was involved, really.

the logic in 500k is the tournament can have two top10 players instead only one.
Then it depends on the tournament if they can sign the two top10 players.

No, it only counts as a MM, but with a much bigger purse. I think it should be 64. In fact, my best friend's best friend knows someone who knows the aunt of Allaster, so I might get my point through.

I dont think Tour needs more draw with 64 players.

They can do 48 draws :oh:

Though I think they really need to up the prize $ for Birmingham consider how much $ they get elsewhere from the bonuses. Most players probably won't even get to the tax bracket when they head out in early rounds.

Shenzhen now looks much appealing to some lower ranked players with only 16Q draw and 500k purse.
