US Open was a hot mess too, the difference being it was competitive.

Loved the USO final ... Serena's amazing comeback :)

all finals were one-sided , Serena choked in both her finals and it looked more dramatic , but actually all Finals were won before players entered the court ....

If Sharapova choked vs Errani in second set , this match may also have looked entertaining.

Definitely the level of Nadal-Djokovic AO was a Far beyond the Stars for WTA

None of them are classics quality wise, but that USO final really was insanely dramatic. Really, the entire last week of the USO was dramatic for the right and wrong reasons

Anyways, none of them were classics. The Wimbledon and USO finals were close because Serena went off the rail; UEs don't make a high quality match. AO was just a mess. RG was fine but it was NID and Errani was on the defense most of the time; credit to her more making Martha work hard for it though.

Damn...USO was the one I mostly didn't see and it looks like it was the best one.

AO was one to erase from memory, RG was watchable because Errani fought hard despite being outmatched. Wimbledon was OK too, but kinda weird :).

USO: 10/10. The Lord and Princess, Real #1 and #2 put on an intense thriller that could have gone either way. A nailbiter. :bowdown:

AO: 9/10. Unfortunately Lord pulled out of her R4 match as she had to go build more schools in Africa, but thankfully she left her trusty heiress in charge of vanquishing the embodiment of evil in the final :yeah:

The Sharapova hate on this thread :spit: is anyone even aware of the fact that the French Open final was the only GS decider where both players had a positive W/UE. It was fun and a nice contrast of styles, and both played at a high level throughout the entire meeting, regardless of how NID the winner was.

Australia was Peak Shitpova and both the Wimbledon and US Open should've been dull routine jobs for the GOAT had she tried a little harder. The US Open final in particular was just entertaining due to the drama because the quality was horrible.

I genuinely really enjoyed RG because once Errani got on the board she really continued to force Maria to play her best to beat her. It was actually the best quality of tennis wise IMO. :shrug:

AO/Wimbledon/USO were all hot messes quality wise but at least the USO had some drama.

AO: 3.5/10 - Azarenka winning her first slam and in such an impressive way. After starting the match nervous she trounced Pova and played some great tennis.
FO: 1.5/10 - Seriously such a crap match. Not at one point in that match did Pova even play well. In the other three slam finals at least one of the players played well in at least one set. This was a NID match anyway and as a result truly boring to watch.
W: 5/10 - Match was all about Serena. She got tight which made it more entertaining as a contest. Then she smacked 4 aces in a row in the third set and didn't look back. Some nice rallies in this match.
US: 7/10 - Only gets a 7 because of the drama/atmosphere at the end of the third set. If the crowd were dead it probably would have gotten a 5.5 or a 6. Serena inexplicably lost concentration/got tight against a dangerous player and almost played herself out of another slam win. Luckily she managed to knuckle down and win the title. The level of play wasn't great but the comeback and the crowd made the match.
