Right now I can only think of one

Aeon Flux

It was criticized mainly because of its characters' robotic and emotionless speak, which is true lol, but honestly the setting is gorgeous and the plot isn't bad at all.

What about you?

Most recent one that comes to my head is Dark Shadows.

I mean it wasn't bad overall but did get a little crap in places. Still though the conversation between the main dude and that girl makes the movie when he walks in the house as a vampire in the 20th century:
Girl: Are you stoned?
Dude: They tried to stone me dear but it did not work.

Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity.

Should have won an Oscar for the title alone.

I remember the movie Identity getting raked by critics but I went on a date to see it anyways and loved it.

Same thing with the movie Wicker Park. I didnt like the movie as much but I remember it getting bland reviews and then I wound up getting totally into it.

The best example of this for me though is Cruel Intentions. I watched that movie probably 50 times in high school. It got destroyed by critics when it came out though. I dont care how camp it is, its so so good. :sobbing:

Suckerpunch got mixed reviews. The action sequences are good. The rest of it is messy and rather pointless. In the end, I dont care whats reality and whats not because it jumps around too much.

I thought this movie tends to get good reviews by people who have seen it and by movie magazines. Rather dull script to me.

Why dont you make your own movie. Cut up bits of video of tennis players acting your own script. Could turn out well.

The Skeleton Key  It's meta score on IMDB is only 47/100, but at least the movie goers seem to like it with a 6.4/10 rating. That's not too shabby as far as IMDB ratings go :p. I loved the twist ending to this flick :scared: Plus one of my fave actresses of all time stars, Gena Rowlands :worship:

Just Go With It (Adam Sandler, Jennifer aniston, Brooklyn Decker).

Not sure why critics didn't like this movie, but I was laughing hard throughout most of it. The sheep CPR scene and the Nicole kidman dance off scenes gave my abs proper workouts :haha:

I've always been into reading movie reviews so I remember even as a little kid how they trashed COMING TO AMERICA... Then my big brother took me to see it & everybody in the theater thought it was great. To this day, it's one of the most loved comedies of all time in the African-American community. Even if I put it on right now, I can't watch without laughing out loud. My nieces & nephews know scenes by memory. Just a great movie.

I don't see films that haven't gotten good reviews. :sobbing: Maybe the closest would be Beloved which I really liked but got fairly mixed reviews.

I don't agree with critics on comedies a lot of times. A good example is Wet Hot American Summer which is hilarious so I don't really pay too much attention to critics on comedies.

For dramas, I actually do pay attention to critics because I've found I agree with the consensus more often than not so I don't see too many critically panned dramas. I've liked a lot of divisive movies but not that many that are completely panned. I guess I liked the Village although I didn't love it and there are certain movies like The Golden Compass where I loved the book so I was fine with that movie as well.

After The Sunset too, the plot is not something very elaborate but still, it's one of these enjoyable movies that leave a good feeling in you.

Love me some Madonna, eventhough she was always panned for her lack of acting skills.

www.watchmoviespoint.blogspot.com/

The Avnegers had mostly great reviews. Any critic who didnt like it probably only likes period dramas.

Only see one review of Resident Evil: Retribution but they said the whole series is good and underrated
